Rick Pitino - Head Coach at St John’s University!!!

If there was a Lady Bing award here, you would get my vote every year. That is intended as a compliment. If anyone else mentioned enjoying the NIT I would assume they were being sarcastic!
HaHa, don't usually watch the NIT but with all the BE teams this year I am making an exception.

Rick has NOT delivered on everything I hoped he would. The goal was the Ncaa tournament and he failed. I don't blame him for it...but he failed.
Are you insane? Rick failed? 20 win season 12 big east wins should of beeen in the tournament according to everyone . Rick did exactly what he said . He revuiltmour program that is now being talked about in the national stage. Not one single incident robber. No suspensions .

Yes, I'm insane. The only judgement criteria/measuring point that matters is dance or not. He failed.

If that’s the criteria then yes the staff failed to get us there but all things considered I loved this season and will have higher expectations for next year.
What other criteria is there? All things considered I hated this season and have the same low expectations for next year that I had for this year. The last 2 seasons I "loved" were 2019 and 2015.

I watched some of the interview that was done recently in front of high school coaches with Roy Williams and Coach K on the ACC Network. They were taking about a lot of decisions being made without the right people (he is referring to coaches) being in the room where it happens (big props to Coach K who stated the reference was from the musical Hamilton).

I like your proposal of having retired coaches on the Committee.

And what did those seasons do for the program? Pitino needed to rebuild a whole program and brand. We are in process of doing that and won 20 games in year 1. Year 2 will be better and expectation is to dance.

And what did those seasons do for the program?
They made the St. Johns fanbase jump for joy and do backflips and hand stands of jubilation as we had achieved the ultimate goal/high water mark for our moribund little basketball program. An Ncaa tournament bid followed by an opening game loss.
