Rick Pitino - Head Coach at St John’s University!!!

I get very testy when someone accuses me of being low maintenance and/or a cheap date. I don't put out unless I'm wined and dined.

And just to clarify, I said this Id be ok if we were a bubble team 'this season'. Rest assured next season I won't.
Not me. I put out if I get winked at. My bad. I didn't mean to offend. I just thought bubbleteam was a low bar for a successful season. I get it now that what you consider a successful season is an annual moving target. For me it's a never changing fixed entity dissapointing season after dissapointing season. The ultimate goal and success for SJ's is an Ncaa tournament bid quickly followed by a 1st game defeat.

How is it possible that RP will pillage his son's team by taking Dent?

Yes, I'm insane. The only judgement criteria/measuring point that matters is dance or not. He failed.
Wow you are insane . Guess seton hall providence failed too? I guess everyone. Saying we got screwed out of tourney . And every g else Rick has done. I guess you are a Mike Anderson fan. Get a grip dude

They made the St. Johns fanbase jump for joy and do backflips and hand stands of jubilation as we had achieved the ultimate goal/high water mark for our moribund little basketball program. An Ncaa tournament bid followed by an opening game loss.
Please stop being a St. John's fan. This season if voted on by everyone was a success. Please stop if think this this season is a failure your not a true fan at all

I said going in to the season that I expected us to dance, but as long as we were a bubble team I'd consider it a successful season. Guess we all measure success differently.
I kind of thought before we played a single conference that this would be an 11-9 team on the wrong side of the bubble. To me they ended the refular season slightly better than that by winning out. To me they showed they belonged in the dance by easily beating Seton Hall to advance to the semis and then played a very competitvr game vs. A uconn team favored to repeat as national champion. In they endnthey finished better than I expected but the decision to include them was put of their hands. It happens to bubble teams but clearly Seton Hall shpuld have solidly been in.

I don't know if that's a successful season or not, but they met my expectations from the early gping and vastly exceeded them.in the way they blunced back.to become a very good basketball team.

Uconn will dismantle just about any 6 to 16 seed. We got screwed playong competitove games even if the first 2 they were missing key players.

If we were 11-4 and lost 5 in a row, season would have been a failure. This was a lesson how a great coach never gave up on this team even when we did. His players never gave up either.

I don't follow Seton Hall, Providence or everyone basketball closely enough to comment on what constitutes failure for them. Only St. Johns in the BE. What everything else has Rick done? He got us a tournament bye and to the semi final of an Msg tournament that we learned is completely meaningless unless you go all the way. I'm sure it was Rick's goal to dance this season and that he views it as a failure. Not an Anderson, or a Richardson either, fan. Was a Lavin and Mullin fan, duh, as it was Mullin and We Are...so of course we all were, right?

Oh shoot. That's some some "bold talk for a one eyed fat man" ( Please don't be offended. I have no idea what you look like. It's a movie reference ) Well I'm someone so it couldn't have been everyone and when and where was this vote that I missed?

This season was a blessing. It started great with the Rutgers scrimmage. Btw: Cliff looked great.
Here’s the point: we then lost to Pace. We had players out, but we were trying to win. Our limitations showed.
Now our enthusiasm and relevance are back. This is great for us. Additionally the administration trusts Rick…. AND WE BELIEVE.

Regardless of opinions I can sure you Carmine is as big of a dimented fan as the rest of us and I’ve known him personally since Lavins first year since the Sly Fox Nova bus trip. We certainly don’t agree on everything but Carmine is as big a fan as any of us

Some people in hell wail and gnash their teeth. Still other look across the chasm at those enjoying paradise and envy them. Still others sits in the heat and just wanted a cold beer at CA (Maher).

In the end we are all in hell, justvwith different perspectives.
