I believe they're also more "loaded" then the JesuitsIf the Masons are in charge, then that school must have more money than even the Jesuits.

That's very cool. Nathalie speaks french ( I shouldn't have said that since now Al Bovino thinks I'm elitist . lol ) but kudos to you. I just dont have an ear for language other than spanish cursesI actually do a French lesson every morning while I'm having breakfast!
I agree with you...to a point. A lot of it depends on genetics and plain old luck. If we are lucky enough to make it to 70, we are pretty much playing with house money from that point forward. With that being said, may you and Mr. Pitino both be healthy and strong for 30 more years!A 60 year old Florida man just broke the world record for push ups in an hour by doing 3,264 so don't give me any guff about age and ability. I would like to see a 30 year old do that! I work out 5 days a week and, like I said, I'm in better shape than most 30 year olds. I keep my mind sharp by reading every day . I go through a lot of books. It's exercise for the mind. I play a lot of instruments and just took up guitar. Reading music keeps your mind sharp. Ageism is a bunch of malarky. Will I start to slow down? Someday but if you keep your body and mind sharp you will live a long, productive and healthy life.
For once I agree with this Bovino guyomg this is totally hilarious
Well if you do know don’t say it because the slip of a lip can sink a ship! You are all a bunch of snowflakes. You have conditioned yourselves and tied yourselves into weak minded pretzels.
You are apologizing for trying to run the basketball program like a real basketball program.
You are asking for forgiveness because you want to see the name “St. John’s” on selection Sunday.
Holy mother of all that is college basketball holy, this is business, not the PAL.
Sure Pitino — Pitino! — is going to finish his career at a one bid school because it is a safe job. What?!
If Pitino was built that way, he would never have left Providence in the first place. He took them to the final four. Talk about a safe job.
Buck the ef up.
The only positive is now I know who I do not want next to me in the foxhole.
Thank you, ZanMan!I agree with you...to a point. A lot of it depends on genetics and plain old luck. At least stay positive and knock off all this sniping!Guys - stay on topic.
At times having root canal surgery is more enjoyable than reading this board. At least stay positive and knock off all this sniping!
He has the potential to have $30 million reasons to not stay at IonaImagine if he actually chooses to stay at Iona over us my lord would that show how low we have fallen. I don’t think that will happen though he is going to come here:
Told you so Which is why I posted the joke thread is Rick the right guy. I saw this coming a mile away. I think its a great hire if it worksThe counter movement of posters trying to argue against hiring pitino is interesting to me.
What’s the agenda here? At least that one dude is clearly some kind of Robert jones friend/family member, that one makes sense.
But the rest of you… is his age really the best you got? A guy who’s 711-290 in his coaching career and just went to the tournament and you’re worried about his age?
This program has been asleep for too long. We need to take a swing.
You guys argue against pitino but your suggestions for other options are weak and not moving the needle.
Get on board cause it’ll be the most exciting time for St. John’s basketball in a long time.
I mean goddamn Repole just did an exclusive interview saying he’d be back on board if pitino is the hire… wake up! This hire would be huge

BREAKING NEWS From a source close to the program: “Pitino will be on campus today from 3pm to 6pm for meetings at Taffner Field House (offices for the basketball program) and President’s room in the arena.”
It would be a nice start to get back to the Elite 8 and have a scenario like that to occur. All valid points.
My only concern is that he won't put a man on an inbounder allowing said inbounder to heave the ball 3/4s of the court cleanly to some grade-a douchebag who hits a miracle jumper from the key that cements said douchebag in the annals of March highlights for decades to come.
Otherwise, I'm good.
