It is a slap in the face and hopefully that works in our favor. But also remember Pitino is a smart man and if he were to feel gtown is better fit then well “pride comes before fall”.

Yes. Georgetown is the bigger job and Pitino apparently (according to Goodman) wanted it badly.

It makes sense to me that Pitino would think of Georgetown as the better job. After all, is Cooley thinking about coming to SJU?

if he stays at Iona im not coming to this site for like a week i can only imagine. How we lost to Iona. Im thinking Rick using this as leverage honestly, which is no wonder why the repole article came out yesterday i doubt Iona could offer him that money.
 
Imagine if he actually chooses to stay at Iona over us my lord would that show how low we have fallen. I don’t think that will happen though he is going to come here:

Why do people think 70s is old? I read somewhere that the first person to live to 200 has already been born. Pitino looks in shape to me based off what I have seen lately. As long as your mind is still working you are fine. What’s the worst case? We become amazing for 5 years and then go back to our irrelevant status? I’ll take it.

Age has plenty to do with physical and mental ability. Some people take better care of themselves than others do, but our physical and mental abilities degrade for all of us as we age. I'll bet on the 30 year olds every time. Poster child for my point is Joe Biden.
