Quarter beers at the Rat on Fridays. How about having $10 in your pocket and hitting Friday afternoon Big Beer Happy Hours at Gantrys...then leaving a "few" hours later with plenty of money in your pocket to stop at Ed's Pizza...those were the days

Nickel beers at Gantry’s, which essentially had the alcohol equivalency of seltzer water.Quarter beers at the Rat on Fridays.
When I was going to Gantry’s it was $2 big beers which was still spectacular. Had a great time at those places.Nickel beers at Gantry’s, which essentially had the alcohol equivalency of seltzer water.
I missed so many conversations because of burping and peeing.

Same with me. Frank the owner was a true gentleman and great guy. When I was going to Gantry’s it was $2 big beers which was still spectacular. Had a great time at those places.
Was it nickel or quarter beers and two dollar pitchers at the Rat?St. John’s use to have Rathskeller or the “rat” as we use to call. Nickel beer Friday was a thing until the drinking age in NYS went from 18-19 and ultimately to 21.
The night of the law change at midnight a bunch of us were kicked out of JPods. The bars claimed they were afraid of “midnight compliance“ checks.
No worries. As people may recall NYS still had the old picture less license. Which meant my older brother who was 2 years older went in first. One of our other buddies would slip out 10 minutes later and give me my brothers license and boom in the bar we were. NVM that my brother was two inches taller and had blue eyes. Hey it was dark out!
Come to think of it, this Portuguese kid (if he comes here) might have to get use to the drinking laws here. Just to keep this on topic. I hope he comes.
Same here. Would go back and forth between them on a good night.Totally forget. My senior year it was jpods and gantry’s can’t remember after that
Sonny Dove was a big name as well. Manhattan's best player, Larry Lembo, was drafted by the Knicks...but opted to be a long-time referee instead.I had more than ten floor tickets for that game and the SJU game . As a student in Brooklyn night school it was easy to get
tickets . Bradleys performance was special . Had the same group of tickets for the Festival final vs Michigan . Great SJ comeback . Two names
standout from that game Kenny Mac and Steve Honzo
I thought it was a nickel. They were little glasses. Then again, I could be wrong I was drinking! Was it nickel or quarter beers and two dollar pitchers at the Rat?
No Sly Fox Inn? The night we beat then #1 Georgetown Hoyas we hit the Dublin Pub….pretty good night. Place was Redmen utopia that night.Totally forget. My senior year it was jpods and gantry’s can’t remember after that
Some of the video is absurd.
He was MVP of this u20 event (league?). The defensive potential stood out to me. And of the offensive end, aside from the skills, it is obvious he understands the game. Look how well he moves and finds space without the ball
If I understand what you're saying, and I believe that I do, he could very well be the 2nd coming of RP(not Rick Pitino).Reminds me a bit of a smaller Kristaps Porzingis which is high praise in deed. Arguably would be our most talented player just lacking experience at our level.
You're outlook not only still needs changing , but it actually needs to be changed entirely????This kid is a third difference maker and would change my outlook entirely.

I think a whole pizza pie was only a dollar circa late 1950s. And I also believe there were only 2 types of pies: plain and anchovie. Like bagels: only plain and salted.Yep, .50 cents and subway tokens were .15 cents. At the Pizza shop on 169th St and Hillside you could get a slice and soda for .25. Those were some great days. Amazing, for less than $1.00, you had an amazing time.
Rick owns multiple Target outlets? Seriously though I hope we get that Portuguese big he has mad skills.RICK’S TARGETS
