Or next David Caraher or Vince Cole They were supposed to be the shooting snipers coming from a lower level too.

C’mon .. Caraher was a Mullin holdover and pal of Figgy . Cole was entirely CMA . If you know Pitino’s style , you know he always wants a sharpshooter or 2. And , he’s had far better success than most Coaches in putting together a roster . I would say Pitino isn’t interested in kids that don’t fit his definition of a good shooter . At any level . Degrading this player already is bush league . If Pitino picked this player. , he thinks he fits onto his team and capable of playing in the BE .

The signing of Conway is a good experienced piece. But the team needs mire difference makers to have a shot at the tournament.

I have no doubt if Kolek on Marquette transferring from Geo Mason landed here instead , half of this Board would say “ Role Player or Not quick enough to play in BE..” Although if he came here with CMA as Coach that’s all he would have been .

It's hard to evaluate how much Conway will play at this point. Same really for Traore or Keita. We just have to add players and once we have a roster it will be a lot easier to speculate.

Agree that we need more key pieces. Bamba going to Nova was a bummer as was losing Clayton to Florida, but I think Jenkins will be a solid PG for us and maybe the start of rebuilding the team?
Yeah, Chris Ledlum would be a great piece, but key players 'free up' daily, so we shall see.

Hard to get excited about this one..but as end of bench/rotation player nothing wrong with filling that with a shooter. Maybe we get lucky for once and the supposed shooter that commits actually comes to queens and hits some shots.

At this point I'd think Soriano is the only player getting major NIL money, with Jenkins getting a solid amount. Ledlum and/or another couple similar players should be obtainable if the rumors that St. John's has a respectable amount of NIL money are true. Think it's pretty clear at this point for 2023-24 at least we won't have major NIL available, but I'd hope we can get at least a couple more top 50-100 portal/high school students.
