Rick’s Targets

If we end up getting Wilcher, is he our highest NJ recruit ever?

Edit: I looked on 247, which goes from 2003 onwards. Our last NJ recruit was Cedric Jackson in 2004, he was just outside the top 150.

Elijah Ingram is the guy I couldn't think of. He was rated slightly higher. But what a long time.

Obviously hoping Wilcher coming on board doesn't mean Jenkins won't be eligible. Think a Jenkins for Wilcher trade is a measurable step back this upcoming season but obviously a big upgrade over the long run.

Hope Jenkins will be fully eligible and they figure out a way to add Wilcher to the group anyway.

Yeah I really liked Jenkins and think his familiarity with Pitino's system would pay huge dividends for us, especially to start the season.

Hopefully it's more like he's a semester away from graduating, and he'll be back in time for big east play.

Any word on how this would work with scholarships?
No knowledge at all so don't want people jumping down throat but have to think:
1. Jenkins eligibility as mentioned prior
2. Someone will be a Walk On
3. Not sure if we can have someone committed leave as Portal closed but who knows
