Remaining Undefeated 2018-19 Division 1 MBB Teams
Houston with a tough test tonight against LSU at home. Game is on ESPN2 at 9 pm.
Per Rothstein:

Sources: Both Chris Paul and James Harden will be in attendance for Houston's game tonight against LSU. Houston Texans' star J.J. Watt is also expected. Game is sold out.

LSU apparently was doing fine until I turned on the game to start the 2nd half and a double-digit (up to 15 at one point) slipped away. Texas Tech also won so we're still stuck on nine perfect seasons so far.

8 of the 9 remaining undefeated teams playing today or tomorrow.

Today:
Villanova at Kansas noon
Western Michigan at Michigan 2 pm
Southern Illinois at Buffalo 2 pm
UNC Wilmington at Furman 4pm
Abilene Christian at Texas Tech 7 pm
South Dakota State at Nevada 9 pm

Sunday:
St. Louis at Houston 3 pm
Wagner at St. John's 4:30 pm

UVA off until 12/19.
Some of these games should be interesting. Suspect we might have one or two less undefeated teams left after Sunday. The Salukis already played Buffalo once this year and gave them a good game. I expect Nova will really be up for Kansas today.

Have to be honest way too much is being made about being undefeated. Lots of teams currently with losses probably feel they would be undefeated if they played SJUs schedule.

Obviously being 9-0 is nice but not sure I wouldn't rather be 8-1 or 7-2 with really good losses.

I don’t agree. Wins are wins. We are still a very talented team and in time, those losses will come. That said, it’s creating a buzz which is good for us even if we are a paper tiger right now. We’ll have to prove ourselves like everybody else does as the season moves on. We have a shot at our “good loss” against Duke at Cameron. We will still have to prove it in the big east, but more wins adds up.

Been a while since one of these teams lost. Buffalo currently trailing Cuse in the second half.

Syracuse is having a pretty mediocre season, so I don't mind too much if they win. Can't believe I said that. Would be nice to get Buffalo's territory on the map.

Either way, not a bad outcome.

Buffalo is legit up 8 now. Very impressed by them.

Marquette is next and that should be a real good one.

If it mattered as much as you think they would be ranked. SJU is the only undefeated team not ranked. Not to mention being from the BE and being undefeated and still not being ranked. Marquette has 2 losses and are ranked. So tell me how much it matters? All I am saying is outside of this board nobody is really impressed that they are 10-0. It matters more who you beat. If it didn't SJU would be a top 10 team.

Buffalo a nice team, and balanced. That said, totally unimpressed by Syracuse. I’d have loved to play that Cuse team again this year.

71-59 Final. Buffalo will be a difficult matchup for teams in the Tourney this year.

I actually found myself rooting for Buffalo towards the end. Syracuse tends to land on the bubble pretty often despite some mediocre starts, so wanted to see them go down. Pretty big hole for them, already having 4 losses.

Great win for Buffalo. Hopefully Marquette can defeat them this weekend.

If the tournament started tomorrow we'd probably be a 7 seed. That's pretty awesome considering where we finished last year.

I'm concerned that the committee will underseed both of us and have us play in the 8-9 game.

Syracuse will sneak in. They will win enough ACC games and sneak in. Yeah it has been awhile since Boeheim has had a great team. He seems to be hanging on for one more great team.

Bazeley going to G League was a huge loss going into this year.

The Redmen 10-0 start is actually drawing more attention outside this board. Not only is St. John’s getting airtime during the local nightly news sports but also by the news anchors - in fact Channel 2’s Allison Gainor, a Fordham alumni talked about their great start and how exciting it is to have a winning New York team at this time.

I’m surprised St. John’s and Fordham didn’t square up again. I know Mullin would love to settle a score with the Rams coach on the Rose Hill floor after calling a time out with a few ticks left on the clock and Fordham having already won the game during Mullin’s first year. I also agree that we should have continued the series against the ‘Cuse.

That's exactly where Jerry Palm has us, as of yesterday.
