Recruiting Impact on “Scandal Schools”

Guess it doesn’t matter:)

It only matters if it matters to you. If you expect the NCAA or virtually any bureaucratic organization to be your moral compass you may just as well give up. They are a major part of the problem, not the solution.
BTW, that was intended as a collective, not a personal, you. Probably should have worded that better.

Book Richardson will be sentenced tomorrow. Lamont Evans Friday. Chuck Person later this summer.
Just a "show", too much money involved for any real reform.

All that time and money spent by the government to put some guy on 2 years probation and get 100 hours of free labor-what a colossal waste of time and resources. Should have been an NCAA matter from the beginning. Maybe now they can focus on getting a 5,000 dollar fine on Bob Kraft. SMH

You cited the two things the government does very, very well.

I'll preface this by saying I love everything I see so far from MA, but if there aren't going to be any real repercussions, we may as well have just hired Pitino, let him cheat like crazy, and get us a championship within three seasons.

Per Pete Brush
Judge Ramos sentences ex-coach Lamont Evans to 3 months for taking $22k of bribes. Evans' atty says there is a "high likelihood," as non-US citizen, that dfdt will be subject to removal after detention

Three 5-star recruits will reportedly take unofficial jail visits to see Book Richardson.

And the NCAA does what?
Well they persuaded the FBI to spend a ton of our money to get some publicity so that the people who live with their heads up their a**es actually believe there is some semblance of rule enforcement. An absolute joke, but then anyone who expects anything else just proves PT Barnum’s theory.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- At least six Division I men's basketball programs will receive Notices of Allegations for Level I violations from the NCAA by the summer, stemming from the federal government's recently completed investigation of the sport, a top NCAA official told CBS Sports.
Stan Wilcox, NCAA vice president for regulatory affairs, said two high-profile programs would receive notices of allegations by early July.

Wow-za.

Will be interesting to see how this plays out, but have to believe Kansas & Arizona are sweating bullets right now, as they should be.
