@Providence, Tue., Feb. 13, 7p, CBSSN

Now that I'm calm, ok lets see what they do at PC.
I did say they atleast gotta split vs. Marq and PC, but they had this game. If they won then Tuesday they'd be playing with house money.

With this team you can't feel comfortable even with a 20pnt lead, I'll be wondering when they'll start messing this game up.

It's brutal.

Life as a Johnnie's fan means you have more "biggest games of the season" than perhaps any other team in the country.

At 6-7, and tied for 9th place, we cannot afford a loss here. We simply do not want to go into the final 6 games having to go a minimum of 5-1 to have a shot at a bid. Providence will not be an easy game, but the path to 11 wins (minimally) in conference becomes a very tall order should we not win at the Dunk in a place where Providence is tough to beat. Time for our guys to kick it up a notch, especially in the closing minutes.

Anyone heading up to the game?

By this logic, butler is 4-6 in big east play.

Seton hall is 5-5.

Providence is 4-7

Nova is 4-7

X is 5-6

So who outside the top 3 deserves to make the tournament in the Big East? Or is it just St. John’s that needs to apologize for beating DePaul and Georgetown?
I think his point is that most BE teams have at least 1 or 2 signature wins if not more. We have 0. We really haven’t beaten anyone & that Utah W is looking solid but far from signature. We seem to be allergic to the big games & big moments. Even a bad Mullin team knocked off #4 Duke & #1 Nova. Bad CMA team beat ranked Zona & very tough WVU team that eventually cracked T25 I believe.

Yes obv it’s early in Rick’s tenure & I still think he’s the best we can get. But we just come up Charmin soft in these big games. Find a way like most other BE teams. I want to be able to go to a big game & be excited not scared. Then we get a Michigan clunker or a heartbreaker to Marq, Creighton, UConn, etc. Maybe one of the mentally weaker teams I’ve seen unfortunately.

Let's party on Fat Tuesday. Fry the Friars. But Providence still won't be a signature win, Creighton will. Let's do some damage down the stretch.

There are many guys to like and root for on this roster; Ledlum, Jenkins, and yes Soriano.

Go Johnnies!

If every player on the team is not locked in to play this game v hungry PC, shame on them. PC has played intense ball since losing their star Hopkins early in year. They have two main scorers but nice group of subs & a solid coach.

The game means a ton for both teams. We have lost a lot of opportunity games, let’s not add to the list & play the “still have plenty of season left” game. This is Providence, not UConn or Kansas. Bring one home for goodness sakes. Fans, staff & players who hustle all the time deserve one.

Is Carter the exact type of quick sees the floor guard who steals our lunch? If we had kept Mo Keita could we have occasionally played a twin towers defense with Joel and Zuby and still have had backup height for late in the game?

Is Maduro hurt? I dont think he played Saturday.

Unfortunately (maybe fortunately 😜), I probably will not be able to view this event. I have a friend visiting and I don't get CBSSN so I can't record it. I do have a fire stick and the KODI app so I might be able to watch if I can convince him (aka plying him with a lot of beer!😁) to watch it live. At this point, maybe missing this game might be better. 😨

Yea also I know this is Moose’s least favorite topic of convo, but we gotta talk about access to CBSSN to non-cable users.

On both the CBS app and paramount+, you can watch sports games played on CBS. So when nova/Hall were playing yesterday on CBSSN, I figured I could go to the same place to get the game.

Nope, they air something called CBS Sports HQ, and CBS itself, but I do not see CBS sports network anywhere
