But you dont want alkins or maker.
That still has me scratching my head on days when im not trying to pull my hair out watching this disaster

Mussini is a one trick pony that forgot how to do his trick.

I wish all the seniors well in life, but Felix not getting redshirted will serve us well longer term to fill a ship one year sooner with more talent.

Sima has a long way to go. We need a bigger center who plays with more fire. He seems very soft and tentative on every play.

Season constants-
Can't shoot FTs and can't defend the 3.

Poor roster or not, defense obviously will be a major point of attention for team & staff next season. We will never have sufficient fire power to overcome opposition getting 80-90 points a game. I had hoped to see some improvement as season progressed, but it never happened in my opinion. Oh well, keep recruiting!

Amen! And while there are some very good posters here that are very optimistic about next season, all would be wise to remember that just having talent will not make your team into a contender overnight. Hard work, coaching, team construction and simple luck also play a role. Right now I'm watching an incredibly talented LSU team get smacked by Kentucky. With the probable #1 pick in the upcoming draft.
Will next year be better? It should be. However until the incoming class plays a few games, and the coaches show good in game decision making, and I see major improvement from those remaining, I'm not ready to hop on the bandwagon, just yet.

Add to that list the penchant for trying to make ill advised interior passes in traffic and long, out of control cross court passes..

WRT defending the 3, we don't even attempt to defend the 3...our guys (Mvouika and Mussiini are the big culprits) routinely lose their man...the team should be told to do their own job and not worry about whether the rest of crew is doing their part...

Anyway, we will be put out of our misery soon - thankfully...Loved going to the games and always will irrespective of results..but this was just too tough to watch...

Perhaps we should decline the Big East tournament :)

If it is not, we will suffer more embarrassments...this crew never attempted to change the game on the defensive end...in many, if not most, cases our ability to hang around was more a function of poor shooting by the opposing team (e.g. Nova and SH)...if not for Yakwe and Sima, we would have zero defense...

Mullin's sharp...I am sure he recognizes and will take the necessary steps

"Will next year be better?"

Well if they aren't and they only win 8 games next year, then we're in deep trouble.
There's no doubt we should be better. Say 5 B.E. wins, 8/9 wins in OOC. That's 13/14 wins all together, is that asking for alot?
The freshmen will be sophmores, Lovett and Owens will play next year, and the top recruiting class coming in for the B.E. That alone should mean 5/6 extra wins. To me anything over 15 wins next year is butters.

I know I'll get "don't put a # of wins for next year." Well 13/14 wins should be capable.

Listing the disappointments would take too long but the point guard play has been a major problem. The ineligibility of LoVett which seemed to surprise the staff and the inability of Mussini to play at a level that I think the staff expected pretty much prevented the team from even being respectable.
Mussini is really a question mark. He doesn't seem to have a body that is going to gain weight or strength which he will be thrilled about in twenty years but prevents him now from playing major college basketball at a decent level.
On another point if there is only one scholarship available for 2017 as I read today the staff has to change that.

I'm just glad he got over the leg cramps that stopped him from standing the 1st 30 minutes of the game while we were getting blown out

Unimaginable how bad our defense and ft's are

I'll be there on wednesday but I'm happy the season is ending

Best of luck to the seniors in your future endeavors

Mike, did you meet our defensive consultant?

Non existent. Funny thing is and I swear I'm being serious Nathalie asked me why our coach is so young ( she doesn't know who Mullin is ) I asked her what is she talking about and she points to St Jean standing directing things

Then she asks why don't we play defense

New Avi in honor of Nat & our D!

I haven't been able to go to many games this season, but I was at MSG for Seton Hall and today. I have to say, today was the first time I was genuinely ticked at Mullin --sitting on the bench for the *entire* game is just not acceptable. He gets a major pass this year in my book for the lack of talent, but next year he will not. I'm still optimistic though. It should be interesting.

Mullin talks about the need to close out on 3s better...So he obviously recognizes it...I just wonder if he resigned himself to the fact that absolutely no one on the team can play defense...the turnovers, poor FT shooting is easier to accept...lack of defensive intensity is a tough swallow...
