I hate to say it, but unless this team miracles some defensive intensity between now and Wednesday, I can't see a victory over Georgetown. Even as poorly as Georgetown has played, they are going to slaughter us in the paint.

I think you mean 20th B'day.. His style of play, going to the Hoop , getting pounded on every play, wears any one down.
 
We had been playing great at home for a while so this game is an exception. It would have been nice to have an exception to our poor road play instead of being blown out fro the opening tip in our last 5 road games.
 
Glad that stinker is over. Time to watch some real basketball. Looking forward to Duke-NC tonight.

Just typifies his dumb play. How about realizing at least once a game you make a lazy pass turnover and just be more careful with easy passes that turn into an unforced turnover. Just for one game, please.

Afraid your intuition will be right. Hope Mo doesn't follow in the great tradition of St. John's coaches being one and done in post season tournaments. That is the real origin of the phrase one and done which is now used to describe freshmen going pro. You can look it up. ;)
 
A win today, a win on Wednesday, and anything but a disaster on Thursday would have had me feeling pretty good about the year overall.

Bad performance today dampers that. Let's get a W on Wednesday and annoy Nova on Thursday and I'll be back to feeling pretty good about next year.
 
We beat Providence handily next year , if we get a front court stud somewhere.. Maybe a 5th year player... has to have some ability in major facets of game, not deficiencies

Agreed. I really thought last home game of the season that we would have stepped up with hustle
 
Eliison has made either 1 shot or zero shots in 12 games this season. I only see hime with 2 solid games with both over 20. He seems to make more and more poor decisions and is also a liability on defense. I know this team has a bunch of holes and they are young, but all the talk was how Ellison was much improved and would be a difference maker. For a kid with his size and athletic ability, I would classify him as this years biggest disappointment. Zero pressure on him this year compared to Yakwe who has been asked to play out of position. Every game I find myself saying..."Get Ellison out of there". Is it just me with a short fuse?
