I used to go there every time that I went to Penn. The best pizza! But they just reopened Roses Pizza in Penn Station. That's a +

...and Elitism! No better cultural experience than sitting in section 114.
I think the SJU marketing department should have all first time Garden attendees soak in the musings of the erudite and sophistication of 114.
Having met Andrew I can absolutely verify he has a big full head of hair. That lucky bastardI am 53 with a full head of hair and very little grey. If my belly lost 20 pounds or so I could be a kid on here.
Imagine if he was in better shape? Maybe 25 laps.that was without a doubt a must watch
Speaking of Flag Boy... we need to bring back Male cheerleaders- nothing against our ladies... but the dudes with the megaphones really Led the D-Fense , etc... chants.Imagine if he was in better shape? Maybe 25 laps.
I swear that big 'ol Flag looked pretty heavy.
I wish I had a picture or even better a video.
That's what made him even more legendary. He wasn't Usain Bolt. He was the perfect flagboy to root for. It was rivetingImagine if he was in better shape? Maybe 25 laps.

fans used to count the number of Laps he did. It was Awesome- I told Cragg during an "AsktheAD" session on twitter - he should bring it backThat's what made him even more legendary. He wasn't Usain Bolt. He was the perfect flagboy to root for. It was riveting

I know that athletic department that year gave a lot of tickets out. unfortunately I don't live in the tri-state area anymore but will be making a trip to nyc to see the creighton game. hopefully by then there will be more buzz and the building is full.I don't follow the attendance figures as religiously as some of you fellows, but didn't we draw very well at the Garden during Mulln's last year? (That year we started out 13-1 or something, and there was a little buzz around town.)
Am I the only one on here who remembers (Flag Boy has his fans) but the other rotund unofficial cheerleader up in the (maybe) 300's in the pre-refurbished Garden?I was one of the counters. We would scream each number
Only person I've ever seen with that much stamina is Marillac responding to anything about Jenkins.
I kinda vaguely remember that. Was that in the 2000's or 90s ?Am I the only one on here who remembers (Flag Boy has his fans) but the other rotund unofficial cheerleader up in the (maybe) 300's in the pre-refurbished Garden?
Usually middle of the second half, he'd get the crowd going waving something over his head with Cheers of WE ARE ST. JOHN'S.WE ARE ST. JOHNS!
Sometimes it was a cheer-off --- one side of the Arena against the other --- to see who cheered the loudest.
80'S & 90'S MAYBE EARLY 2000'S PRE-NORM.I kinda vaguely remember that. Was that in the 2000's or 90s ?
I would prefer to count the number of Bronx Pale Ales a certain poster would drain.I was one of the counters. We would scream each number

I’m walking over from 41st and Lex to thd Garden. Looking to throw a Donnybrook on the albino scalper before tip! Hopefully a nice Uber from Rick’s Cabaret to Grand Central means we got a Victory! That is a big attraction . But , commuting in on the LIRR and accessing MSG minimizes some of the Homeless interaction , doesn’t it ?
People who have to take the Subway and Drive in , have to walk on the Streets or , through the Tunnels to access MSG . Not pretty .
Regardless, I hope there is a big turnout on Wednesday . Beast wants 10-12,000 or more . Maybe it will .
I told mike I'll give a figure later tonight or tomorrow morning. This has taken off a bit here so will have to see how it goes the rest of the night into tomorrow.Eric got lucky that this got sidetracked by attendance #s and concerns about the fan base. Two hot button issues that guarantee a 10% bump on the page count.
Because other fan bases have seen a tournament win since 2001. Because other teams don't average 2 Ncaa bids a decade. Because other teams sniffed an Nit bid some point last 4 years. Everyone here, same as you, values home court advantage and don't favor fans disguised as empty seats. The fanbase isn't awful...the team is. P.S. Your podcast is tremendous. I love it. Thanks so much for doing it!Why do other fan bases show up at 6:30 or 8:30? Why is it such an issue with St. John's?
I’m going to the nova rematch with two fellow SJU buddies of mine. So amped for that oneif we continue on our current trajectory- the Nova home game should be a good barometer... Nova fans typically show out well. Should be 15k plus that game.
If we have a number by our name for UConn... 18k... granted there will be a lot of UConn fans... but we should be 70/30 hopefully. Speaking of- school needs to make some 45$ tickets avail for that game... already have a crew of 8 lined up to go.
You guys might want to meet up with classof2010 and head to Ricks Cabaret pre game or post game and give us a review. Just watch out for when he goes to beat up the Albino scalper ( not to be confused with AlBovino ) outside msgI’m going to the nova rematch with two fellow SJU buddies of mine. So amped for that one
