Sorry for the odor tonight in 114 but she has a point
Shades of Louie’s ‘Sweater’.
If we win tonight, you may have to wear that ‘Outfit’ while Dancing through March...
Lol.

Seth Davis re St. John's-Seton Hall / The ATHLETIC

Seton Hall at St. John’s (-4), 8 p.m., FS1. The tri-state area is big enough to hold these two programs, but the NCAA Tournament’s bracket may not be. St. John’s bought itself some runway with that big win over Villanova, but it followed by stinking up the joint at Providence on Wednesday. At last look, the Johnnies are a No. 8 seed in Brian Bennett’s Bracket Watch. Brian has Seton Hall as a No. 11, and the Pirates’ final stretch is brutal. When the teams met back on Dec. 29, Shamorie Ponds scored just eight points on 2-of-13 shooting, and the Pirates still only won by two at home. I’ll take my chances that Ponds will play better this time around. The pick: St. John’s

Mike, like where Nathalie is going with this. Doing the same thing. It might drive away more visitors tonight, but it's a big game and we'll need all the help we can get.

Ha....I was thinking about visiting 114 at halftime. But, going to stick with what I did for the Nova game (come by for victory high fives). My son and I will also be wearing the same thing (washed).
Enough with the hyperbole regarding what we need to do to make the Tournament. This site becomes nauseating to read every time we lose.

We need to finish 2-2 to make the Tournament, and it doesn't matter which two we win. This shouldn't even be debated, if you disagree with me then you're also disagreeing with every bracketologist out there. Right now we are an 8 seed on Bracket Matrix (at 7-7) and 115/115 people have us in. Going 2-2 with a first round BET loss won't knock us out. Why would we drop 17 spots (drop out) if we remain at .500 and lose one BET game? Unless the Committee just doesn't like us, and their bracket ends up being completely different from everyone else's...

1-3 with a BET win probably also gets us in, but that isn't as certain and isn't worth discussing yet as 2-2 should be attainable. Let's get the win tomorrow so we only need to get one more during our final 3 BE games.
You realize that if we finish 1-3, that with the PC, we'd finish 1-4.
You said with "a" in the B.E. tourny, then lose? Well in that case we'd finish losing 5 of our last 7.
If then the only reason we're in the ncaa Tourny is because of a crap bubble, then no just making it isn't good enough. If we back in, then win one in the tourny, or bust.
If we finish atleast 2-2, then making the NCAA tournament is a success.

I just hate backing in.

I saw on twitter that they’re saying Heron is a game time decision — purportedly having same issues with knee(s). I don’t have much confidence in Twitter (which includes a lot if drama) — anyone know if this has any merit?

Absolutely no credibility to that tweet.

Roll call?

Tonight’s game is huge and can’t look past it.
The rest of the Season hinges on what happens tonight, imo.
And I’m saying that, recognizing how winning a key game doesn’t seem to resonate with this team about what has to be done next.
The hole we’d be in if god forbid we lose tonight would be too challenging to reasonably overcome given we play 2 of our next 3 on the road.
The season is runnning out of games and our record becomes what it is and is evaluated for good or ill on Selection Sunday.
Let’s do it tonight.
No swoon in the last 5 minutes.
Beat The Hall.

Agreed, tonight is HUGE. If we lose tonight, would have to win 2 of the next 3 (with 2 games being on the road). I’m fairly confident that a team with a losing conference record isn’t even eligible for an at-large bid.

Not true at all.

Record in MSG this year, 2-2. Beat Villanova and Princeton, lost to Providence and Georgetown.

Mjdinkins — are you sure about that? There used to be a rule that teams that have sub- .500 records in-conference are not eligible (or was that NIT overall record). There very well may have been a change, but I’m just not aware of it (largely because with young twins my knowledge is now somewhat stale).
