Seriously, who's the genius on staff hiding these injuries and then shocking everyone an hour before tip-off? What other schools pull this crap? Nobody even knew he was questionable, for the second time in two weeks. Unbelievable.

Gotta release those bad Providence vibes, ‘99 and think good thoughts!

Let’s go.
I could be wrong, but I believe mkras is using reverse psychology here.
Wasn’t trying for the reverse jinx. Just have little faith in any of my sports teams. Heron news doesn’t help at all.

Very hard team to root for. It's almost like they shoot for underachievement. Sorry, but this last minute news once again, is a bit much.

Ughhh..

Knee soreness in Heron, Ponds....

These guys running, jumping too much in practice to not give time to heal & recover ?

I SMELL a victory!!!

Maybe he tried during initial warmups, and couldn't make it through. Happens sometimes.

Were there really though? I saw earlier that joke account Phavre Phan said Heron would be out... but then prior to St. John's announcement he reversed and said Heron would play. That leads me to believe his initial rumor was 100% BS (like they always are).

He deleted his Tweets from an hour ago... but posted this:

My initial report was that Heron was questionable. Was then told he would play. Unfortunately, he’s unavailable and I was incorrect. #sjubb

Is it too late for the Braveheart speech !! It’s never over until at least halftime. Clark let’s get that 20 plus game and Ponds Fig And Simon come up huge

Now seems like a good chance to silence some doubters Shamorie.

Heron is our second best player on a team with zero depth. I will root for us like crazy, but not optimistic.

Exactly right. We’re going to rely on Keita to step up? The same guy who shoots about 28% on uncontested layups. Not good!

St. John's had access yesterday. Not a word that Mustapha Heron could be out. #sjubb

I get competitive advantage, but this is third time a starter didn't play when St. John's has kept it a secret from everyone until an hour before the game. Really bad optics. #sjubb

Terry Dehere in the starting lineup

Heron was never questionable, though. He played the last 3 games after his injury. Should Zach also ask if Ponds is out, if Simon is out? It's a ****ty move from the staff that IMO fires up the opposing team right before tip-off. Anways, we'll see what happens, but I think this is being poorly handled.

Now we know why Mullin wasn't worried about his bench. He has an iron man crew on the court and three guys on the bench in suits

Complete BS IMHO.
