Glad we got the height issue resolved. Now on to the question of whether or not Nyiwe, who's 11th on the team depth chart and who so far has done very little against far inferior comp, can give us any kind of meaningful minutes. My money is against it. Big money. If we get Toroesque production out of Nyiwe this year I'll be pleased. To think he's going to give us much against one of the best players in the country tomorrow is quite a reach.

True,I saw him when He  and champ were walking together on internet ,it look like he was about an inch taller

Keep in mind that Jackson-Davis was 10th in the country last year in fouls drawn per 40 minutes. This was in the number one rated conference with several talented big men.  Its going to be a challenge to keep him from dominating inside.

JD got a little Walter in his game, and that's The Truth!

Most games between good teams often come down to breaks, refs, who wants it more  outside of shooting which is a given
match ups.I have seen very good players just have a bad game against inferior talent just have to play our game and  hit our shots and we  always have a chance in every game

Like others, I think our biggest challenge in this game will come in the paint.  In addition to JD, they have a decent transfer big in Michael Durr.  I think Soriano will be a decent match-up, but we will need a second banger.  Either Wheeler (who prefers the perimeter) or Stanley will have to be a strong inside presence.

My guess is we will also work hard to deny the entry pass and hopefully frustrate Indiana into settling for jumpers.

Alas.....I am predicting we steal one in a nail biter.

Not end of world road game loss, but quite an opportunity to turn heads, build confidence and get momentum. Let’s get it!

Which ones are wearing sneakers and which are not?  /media/kunena/emoticons/smile.png

Height was a great way to measure players back in the day I'm sure, but isn't wingspan a more important measurement

recent history has shown we win these type of road games with a great first half.   Against AZ couple years ago.   At Providence last year.  At Butler was also a good one last year, that we should've won.

Talent is an even more important measurement.

As others have suggested, foul situation permitting, I'd expect to see a lot of some combination of Wheeler, Soriano & Stanley so that Champ doesn't have to cover one of their two experienced bigs (plus 7 footer Durr) who will likely be on the  floor most of the time.
Don't see Nyiwe playing much  this game.

Seems like a tossup game where key minutes from a versatile guy like Wusu could be difference maker.

I haven’t seen Indiana play. However, I was reading through some of their fan threads and the one takeaway I got was that the fans were not happy with their 3 point shooters. I think our team can shoot the 3 a little bit this year. As always, I assume we will look to push the pace on the Hoosiers.

Some have mentioned that Indiana is just outside the Top 25. I think that’s pre-season bullshit. If that uniform didn’t say Indiana on the front I don’t think they would be that close. I do respect Mike Woodson as their Coach. Based on Woodson and being on the road I am looking for a tough road win.

Andy Katz has Indiana at 30 in his top 36.  We are not on the list.  Its time to get some repesct.

We went out west and beat Arizona a few years back.  And this team is much better then that team.  We will win this game.
the fact that people still care what Andy Katz says or his rankings is amazing. He's one of the least accurate analysts when it comes to prognostication.

I think that our ability to shoot the three proficiently could be the difference in this game. They’re not that good from three. That could be a huge advantage for us.

Agreed. We have had a number of undersized players here who have made an impact in the paint:Singleton, Middleton, Grant, Minland, etc. And at the same time, we've had a lot of true big men(in height) who have done very little. Of course, in a perfect world, we have a true big man who has an impact in the paint. Hoping that's Soriano.

We will double and swarm Jackson whenever he touches the ball. They’re gonna have to knock down shots to beat us. And if they don’t, it could get ugly.

pressure is on Indiana.
