Kaluma not playing today.  He burned us for 20 in the first game.  Anyone know if it is serious enough to keep him out of Wednesday's game?

Kaluma is a starter who scored 20 against us in the first game. Also, O'Connell who had 28 against us went out of the game with 5 minutes to go and went to dressing room-did not return.  Don't know his status

Yep O'Connell hurt his ankle and looked to be in a lot of pain. If I had to guess I'd say he'll miss Wednesday but I thought the same about Gillespie so who knows

They'll all play as will Doug McDermott.

Creighton well coached offensively with a lot of screening. To me one key is can Posh give their talented freshman PG difficulty and get them out of sync? They are not dead eye three point shooting team they historically have been, but O’Connell as we saw last game w CU can get hot. Hawkins is also having nice season. Like our chances being hot and confident lately.
With a week to rest I am sure Posh will be in the best of possible health and is capable of giving Nembhard fits. If as you correctly pointed out that can occur perhaps we can have a group of defenders on O’Connell to prevent him from going off like last game. Of course Champ and Wheeler each having an outstanding offensive game would go a long way to helping us win this most important game of the season.
Think we should focus on getting layups early on and getting O’Connell in the post. Let him know immediately that this is going to be work

One of McDermott’s best coaching jobs this year successfully putting new cast together, taking chance on savvy D2 guy and integrating several freshmen, including a highly ranked point guard. Picked as a bottom feeder by some pre season, but having a solid season with a Dance ticket awaiting.

If we play and shoot keep the ball moving Locke we did against Butler ,we win. Can we have two  games like the Butler ,that’s the question

We did, the first one was x-men. I think that was a good one

DEFENSE men, let's not have O'Connell become a Pistol Pete like we did in the first games against them. We have a way sometimes of making very average players look great.

The key Wed night is Champy.

Here are some games weve lost vs tough Big East teams and Champys scoring in those games:
Hall - 9 points
Prov - 11 points
Nova - 9 points
Prov - 8 points
Nova - 12 points
Uconn - 13 points

Wed night Julian needs to give us 20 plus points.  If he does, we will win.  If he disappears again and gives us 12 or 13 points, we will lose,

Which Champy are we getting Wed night?

I wish this game was today instead of tomorrow. I’m sure the team is enjoying the rest, but I’m not.
