As we all know, the game is not played on paper. It's all about making shots. If we have cold shooting night like Nova did against us, anything can happen.

FYI, kenpom give us jusy a 57% win percentage in this game.

It's a road game, it'll be tough. I think we'll be favored by 4 or so.

We are playing like UConn under Jim Calhoun lately... gotta keep that winning mindset and crush these guys.

Absolutely spot on. Those are the nights when our 40 minutes of hell defense can make the difference,

No matter how good we are and how bad Butler is, I always expect us to lose on the Road to them. As noted we've only won once there. And have had lopsided losses. Maybe it will be easier without a full house.

Perhaps more than any 7-6 team in league history, our guys cannot walk in overconfident to any opponent.

The best thing about a team laden with underclassmen is no one is playing for the NBA or even for themselves.  One objective - win.

if we lose this game, it won't be because of a letdown.    CMA won't let these guys do that.  It's the Big East and on any given night any team can lose.  We know that all too well.

We are now shooting 36% from three as a team and have two guys (Cahamp & Greg) shooting better than 43%. One thing I'd really like to see is Greg becoming more aggressive in taking his shots (from three and otherwise). Both Duke & Wusu have attempted a few more threes than Greg in less minutes played while shooting around ten percentage points lower.

Your periodic reminder that Big East teams are playing around .500 on the road this season. This is a year when the opportunity to win on the road is much greater than it is in an ordinary season.

Probably wise not to get too cocky about our "road" wins but also some reason for optimism in this game.

I counted the number of words and characters in your post and found both amounts are record lows. It's a blue ribbon day! /media/kunena/emoticons/w00t.png

I've been informed, by a reliable source, that the live Bulldog mascot will be present.

Sorry but for a program that has been brutal on the road the past few seasons I will savour every BE road win we get this season. I don't care what the reason , or the excuse , but we are winning in the other teams house and it is sweet as hell.

The shooting percentage may be a direct result of discretion on what shots to take.  Greg's shooting pct may decrease he if takes more shots resulting in shots taken in other than clean look situations.  I believe that the Duke would shoot 40% if he only took threes when he had his feet set and shoulders square and did not have to step back or face up to a defender.

(I do think Greg is a better shooter than Duke and Wusu)

I’ll settle for a few % points dip with the increase in attempts. Top 5 BE in 3p% shouldn’t be 6th on his own team in attempts. I will say that it's mostly on Greg himself tho. Those other 5 guys are looking to shoot more.

Not sure if everyone is aware of this but crowd will be a factor in this game. Butler has been allowing a limited number of fans into home games depending on whatever the local guidlines are at gametime. It's gonna be somewhere between 1500-2500 which is a pretty decent presence in a place that holds 8 or 9 thousand (or whatever) They'll be heard. We've won four road games in a row which is impressive no matter what but haven't played in front of a crowd since the loss at Creighton (2nd Creighton game) Another good test for the guys.
