Potential Grad Transfers

Iowa's Brady Ellingson will graduate and transfer, per release. Immediately eligible.
SJU not looking for grad transfer guards, just bigs
And if we were, I would hope it would be a bigger scorer than Ellingson. He's definitely a low D-1/D-II candidate.

And like his older brother, he doesn’t play defense.

Fordham’s Joseph Chartouny has received his release and is looking to transfer for his final season, sources told ESPN. Grad transfer, A-10 ROY who averaged in double-figures all three seasons at Fordham.
Maybe redmannorth can chime in here with whether there would be interest from either him or us.
There were two transfers from Fordham (Fontana and Paschall) whose release prohibited them from transferring to St. John’s. Doubt this situation has s any different.

If he's a grad transfer, I don't think they can limit his choices.

Tell that to Phil Martelli.

They'd better, because there are a lot of mid-major guards averaging 17+ PPG who could quite possibly graduate in May with a year of eligibility.

We have none, not recruiting grad transfer guards
I think he is too slow anyway. He took advantage of Mussini and company in freshman year. Ponds and Lovett exposed him last year.

I've heard they have very solid info

Sense Matt is likely on the road trying to fill our big void. As much as I dislike our one man gang recruiting approach, I feel he will deliver.

Does the BE transfer restriction rule apply to graduate transfers?

Ikenna Smart - Buffalo and Ryan Luther - Pitt would both be perfect fits. Luther with a better outside game and Smart with a better post game would cover all bases.
luther yes smart no

Agree, the 1-man recruiting ‘gang’. approach is frustrating. Truly, do not get ‘why’ this has come to pass. We seem to be at a distinct disadvantage compared to other BEC and other high major programs.
Are we waiting for Slice’s deal to end?
But yes, I trust Matt will bust his butt and deliver.

NC State's Omer Yurtseven has been granted a release to either explore professional opportunities or transfer, per release.

THIS WOULD BE HUGE GET

So you think Richie won't put in a good word. :(

I have no idea if we have any pre-existing relationship with this player and have not really watched him play but based on metrics (size, experience, scoring, rebounds, blocked shots, shooting pct. etc.) he seems like someone to really pursue. Does anyone have anymore insight into this? It seems like he has one eye on the NBA and although that is probably not ideal he certainly seems like the strongest transfer big I have seen thus far.
