Potential Grad Transfers

We can't compare Dixon to Ahmed either

Ahmed is 6'7 / 210 guard/forward who could drive the lane hard (sometimes successfully) and shoot a decent 3

Dixon is 6'2 / 170 (supposedly) guard who is hopefully an adequate replacement for what Lovett was to do

I'd rather Dixon pleasantly surprise us, vs. false hopes

Get me a big who can shoot 65% and grab 8.5+.
Hope he transfers.

Him
Owens
Clark
Ponds
Simon
Would be a sweet starting lineup, with Keita and Dixon as the first 2 off the bench.
Yes, there is the possibility of a big with those #s to be a grad transfer.

There is not a team in the country who wouldn't go for a big that shoots 65% and grabs 8 boards. If someone like that would come to us this board would lit up like Christmas!

Evansville guard Ryan Taylor told ESPN he will explore other options and possibility of transferring. Led the Missouri Valley in scoring this season at 21.2. Immediately eligible as a grad transfer.

GO GET HIM MATT

Dixon does not appear to be as quick as LoVett from what I've seen, but he has a damn pretty shot. He will surprise people with how well he shoots behind the arc.

Look like you can scratch Owens, RSR2.

Here's a sobering thought. ......if you scratch Ponds and Yakwe also you have a brand new team. The experience level of a team many coaches have in year two of a rebuild. Mullin and Matt better getting better at recruiting and retention real quick.

And barring surprises, not a stellar recruiting class coming in.

Eight Pittsburgh men’s basketball players will receive their release to transfer elsewhere today, sources told ESPN. Story coming.

Could be worse. See above

Malik Ellison is included in that eight. Wow

With the current rules, would Ellison have to sit out another year if he were to transfer? Or would he put a waiver in to be eligible immediately?

Not a grad transfer, but a potential transfer, nonetheless. Former Johnnie, James Scott's son.

Kennesaw State transfer James Scott is taking an unofficial visit to St. John's today, per a source. Maryland, New Mexico & Louisiana Tech the most recent to reach out. Averaged 17.3 PPG last season.

Not that we need another guard, but I love Alonso’s game.

I'd love to see us get Penava from Marshall. Not a bruiser, but 6'9" and very skilled.

I love Alonso’s game also. Nick Perkins at 6’8 260 is the perfect guy for our system to back up Keita.
