thought the vax was supposed to do that....lolLong Island Mike post=448088 said:But as Beast alluded to, I think the odds are high that more cases occur. This is ravaging the NFL, NBA and NHL as well. All teams are going to have to deal with it. I doubt these will be the last covid cases we see on the team. Hopefully JC will have some level of immunity now and we won't have to worry about him for the rest of the season.
I was speaking to someone close to the situation who was telling me how the BET game was suspended at halftime. Val Ackerman was making decisions that weren't finalized until the game had begun, then decided to just end things as soon as possible. I'm planning on going tonight, but won't be shocked if something happens.NCJohnnie post=448085 said:Beast of the East wrote:
What are the odds that someone else will turn up positive. Given that these kids are going home for Christmas, might be better just to postpone game and keep everyone safer.
Beast, under BE rules have to play the game if you have at least one coach and 7 scholarship players available which both teams have so postponing not an option unless things change by gametime.
At least it’s a change of pace from the lining of my stomach.Paultzman post=448107 said:Never ending saga w more SJU positive cases & a scheduling nightmare for the BE.

Come to think of it, this is the first time in long time that I didn't hear one poster exclaim "he's not your typical walk-on!". And ironically this is the one year that it looks like we could use a few non-typical walk-ons. I guess what I'm getting at is that CMA needs to up his recruitment of walk-ons.RedStormNC post=448121 said:Understanding it wouldn't be in our favor, but in general, why aren't walk-on's/non-scholarship players counted for minimum player requirements ? If they are on their roster and allowed to play in a game, not sure why the min player requirement would just be for the scholly players.
