You know what's coming next.  Any of the Butler players that did not play their last game will be confirmed as Active for tomorrow night.  Oh Boy!

looks like two,  Nze & Hodges

Hodges hasn't played a game this season and Nze has missed the last 7. Getting Harris back is huge for them and another blow for us. Oh well, this will certainly give Wheeler & Nyiwe a chance to see what they can do with expanded minutes and Smith a chance to prove he can be a Big East factor. Two frosh should also get lots of run tomorrow.

This is all coach's fault. He should have seen all this coming and why didn't he recruit players who would not contract Omicron? NOT, just all the other BS.

I think you need to activate Drissa Traore. We could use him anyway as week as Wheeler has looked.

If this is considered a 2nd semester game,
maybe he only burns a half year of his redshirt, and only has to sit out the first semester of next year.

Doesn't work like that, like Lavin started Felix Balamou against Youngstown state on Dec 21 it burned his entire redshirt year.

Not in favor of playing Traore.  Staff obviously didn’t think he was ready.   We’ve got 7 scholly players.  Go with them.

Traore might not be ready but this virus will probably be here for the rest of the season and he might play twenty minutes a game. The

I know it doesn't, my post was a follow up to my last post about some compromise(s) the NCAA could come up with under these most unusual circumstances

We know CMA is never afraid to play the end of his bench.  So, if he thought Traore wasn't going to see many minutes, my guess is there is a good amount of development that needs to take place.

I forget the exact number of athletes sju has, but last school year we were Covid free.    The AD is really proud of how athletes were vigilant staying healthy before a vaccine was available.   This is just another sign how contagious omecron is that vaccinated kids are getting it

I guess they fsctored in that more of our players will likely test positive and we can use him.

A few years back had a family member on lacrosse scholarship at Big Ten school. First 2 seasons didn't see the field until injuries forced him to get time at attack. Playing the last 5 games of the season he scored 13 goals and for about a month even football players on campus stopped him to celebrate his success.

You never know what opportunity brought by necessity can yield..

I get that Beast.  And I know that the staff (like we did) probably thought that our rotation we would be deeper than it seems its turned out to be, but I guess (i) I don't think it is fair to the kid to have burned half a year and now make him eligible and (ii) he'd probably still needs a lot of work and could be overmatched.

BUT, if he is activated and plays, I obviously hope (for his sake and ours) that he is successful and a revelation.  Fingers crossed for tonight whatever the case...

-6 ... and lined hasn't moved with Soriano and Coburn news hitting. Frankly shocked this line isn't a push after what we saw they were capable of w/out Julian vs Pitt...

These lines make me think SJU will cover- as public (me) will prob love Butler +6...
