All I am saying is God bless this message board if we lose to Butler at home.

Eek..if that happens let's just hope the beer league guy, Bryce Golden, doesn't have a career day with a 22 & 12 double double..

We need a beer league guy!!!

Frankly if Champ were playing I'd be looking for us to take 4 in a row (Butler, Marquette at home, Gtown on the road & DePaul at home). We need to win at least 3 of these.

You can not be totally dependent on one player to win games . That’s is why we call them a team
That. Bring  said ,you had to recruit enough high talent to overcome a loss of a player

Is anyone expecting us to win without Champy?  Im not.  Not sure what anyone saw on Saturday that would make them think we could beat a big east team w/o Champy.

If we win it would be a huge upset IMO.

Butler was missing two of its best players (leading scorer Chuck Harris and leading rebounder Bryce Nze) against Purdue. Haven't heard if either or both will be back on Thursday.

I got a kick out of reading this. Taken from a Butler basketball forum. Sound familiar?

Forget rankings...just look at the product on the court. It's not big east level. Look at the coaches on the bench...not big east level.

It's really not that hard to figure out. We need a new direction and if we are going to be in a power conference (where we've shown we can have success) we need to start acting like it again.

But but we've been told it's only our fanbase that acts and says things like that.

Here's the thing, though:

Jordan has not really done a great job at Butler.

He had a good first season, with mostly Chris Holtmann's players.  Beat Mike Anderson's Arkansas team in the first round of the NCAA tournament.  Two years ago, they were having a terrific season when COVID stopped everything in March.  So, there has been some success.

The other two-plus years (this season being the plus), Butler's overall record is 33-36.  That's not consistent with "The Butler Way."

I'm sure some of it is being spoiled by the success of Stevens and Holtmann, but it's not totally off the wall to question LaVall Jordan's job performance, to this point.

Need to win all 4. That simple.
I'm going to take it one step further.

I don't see how winning all 4 is even going to help us that much, but losing anyone of them would be disastrous.  Would seemingly all but eliminate a chance at an at-large bid, although stranger things have happened.

If we win 4 straight BE games we’ll be in fantastic shape.

This board will be feeling good after a butler win, let alone 4-0. Not that that means anything about our ncaa chances but we forget how many times during a season the perception of a team changes.
