Attendance reported at 3,795.  No need for an enlarged arena.
Lets face it, Carnesecca Arena is not a comfortable place to sit and watch a game. Can't tell you how annoying it is to have someone behind you knees in you back all night. and barley being able to fit in the seat you overpaid for. I've had season tickets for years and finally just said enough and just attend the MSG games. Not to say they are much better but a big improvement.
I still can't believe that they renovated CA and left the bench seating. As someone with 2 herniated discs in my lower back, and spinal stenosis, my back can no longer withstand  sitting in those seats for 2 hours. It takes me a good week afterwards to recover

Re: Carnesecca not full in early season.

It did catch my eye watching #24 UConn vs. Coppin St. that the Gempel home court had a very light attendance.

When I saw this, made me realize that even a new, bigger Carnesecca will likely never fill up for early season cupcakes.

They renovated CA? Oh you mean the new light bulb in the popcorn machine? If it takes your back a week to recover you have no worries about attending games at CA as we usually only play their once a week. /media/kunena/emoticons/wink.png/media/kunena/emoticons/smile.png

Didn't they upgrade the HVAC system as well?

Amen!  I only sit in the chairback sections.  Too old for the bench seats.  It really is amazing that we have not installed more "adult seating".

Wish I was a high roller too JF /media/kunena/emoticons/wink.png

And let’s not forget how hot it always is

I did go to miss valley game.    Never put the sweatshirt

CMA seemed upset during last timeout.  He yanked at Pinzons jersey to get him in game and was not happy when talking to the players.  May not have felt intensity was where it needed to be especially with IU on deck.

My wife won't even come to games with my anymore at CA for this exact reason! Her back is perfectly fine, but after attending games in her late 20's early 30's at CA, she left with back pain lol. I'm in my late 30's now and am not even up for the uncomfortable experience at this point. And I'm someone who doesn't complain about much.

I've had recurring back issues for a long time. The past 6 months haven't been good phase.

I ended up buying seat back tickets on Stub Hub for the 12/29 game at CA because the car ride from NC and back will be bad enough.

Sorry about your back. I was honestly surprised by the feedback of my post. Seems a lot of people feel the same. I don’t believe a costly renovation would improve the conditions much. It’s such a tight area. They need to build a spacious area that sits around 10,000 comfortably. With room to walk around and not feel claustrophobic may be the answer!

Totally agree.  If CA were a better facility, attendance would be up.   Need a larger section of free seating for students and more comfortable seating for those of us who would pay.
I gave up my season tix years ago after rupturing two discs in my back and having surgery.  Just not worth it to spend 2-3 hrs in the car and another couple of hours sitting on a bench with no seat-back.   Much better to watch it at home on the 75" 4kTV with a beer and functioning climate control.

That is painful to hear.   I'm old enough to remember how you got your name...  /media/kunena/emoticons/pinch.png

You know what will solve all these back problems? Playing more games at the Belmont arena. /media/kunena/emoticons/grin.png
