(POST-GAME) St. Peter’s, Sat. Nov. 13, 4p, FS-1

Pinzon seemed scared out there. Every time he brought the ball up he quickly tried to pass it off. At one point he did it and threw it to Nwiye beyond the 3 point line which lead to an easy turnover for SPC. Hopefully he can pick it up because he clearly was struggling tonight. He needs to play more loosely and let the game flow.

On a bright note Coburn and Omar Stanley look very good. Coburn may be the best shooter on the team over Champagnie which is saying something, and Stanley plays his role very effectively and efficiently.

Overall good win tonight. On to Indiana.

Soriano is the real deal. 8pnts, 6boards, and 4 blocks. Thought we would have gotten that from Toro last year.———-
wheeler also had a good game , had better stats then Soriano. Coburn will get plenty of pt, a real good shooter. Stanley is going to be our freshman who plays much better then his hs ranking.

Wednesday a huge test.     Indiana has started well also
looking forward to Wednesday night.      Really believe St. John’s has the the pieces together very successful
loved never let St. Peter’s 8n the game

I really didn't have anything negative to take away from the second half, because it really felt like CMA was testing out different lineups and using the bench extensively to see what works. I really don't think he's going to use 11 guys all year. I feel like the rotation will be shortened based on who deserves the minutes. But we are still in the trial period.

The recent changes in eligibility for college basketball players involving the transfer portal and the granting of an extra year of eligibility for some or all athletes because of COVID have me totally confused but if Coburn is still in school next year and can use that extra year he becomes SJUs top recruiting prospect.

Posh again hits the open man with 9 A's.  This is great developement and hopefully keeps it up.  Looking 200+ A's from hit more than doubling last year's total.  Could also be helped by better shooters.

Oho, that was in just 18 minutes, when this season is done I can see soriano  10-12pnts, 8 boards, 2,blocks.

Yeah rich, team is better than last years.

The eligibility is pretty simple.  All these kids can play 5 years of basketball due to covid.
Cohen played a season at St bonaventure and 3 at hofstra.  So this is his 5th and final season of college basketball.

The only negative I have is how come it seems like every big man who comes to SJU leads the nation in goaltends?

Out of all the newcomers, I’m most impressed so far by Stanley. Just a freshman but the fluidity he is able to move with for a big man is impressive. Good footwork and lateral quickness meaning he will be able to continue playing well on the defensive end when competition gets tougher.

Really pleased with how well our new guys are meshing with each other and the returnees
They all seem to have bought into CMA's system and are playing well together
My early favorites are Coburn, Wheeler and Stanley
Looking forward to the matchup with Indiana

St. John’s hosted recruits Devere Palmer, Dwayne Pierce, Jaylin Lewis, Devin Vanterpool and Markell Alston from Queens powerhouse Christ the King, per a source.

Was tied up all day today but recorded the game on my VCR. Will watch later but spoke with Weatherman on my way home and he gave me the lowdown. We continue to take care of business. Very very encouraging so far. Onward and (hopefully) upward.

Were you really tied up all day or did you and her take turns? /media/kunena/emoticons/wink.png/media/kunena/emoticons/smile.png

I just want to make sure I got this right…some of you are complaining about a 21-point win?

Reading the game thread and a few posts in this, I got that idea. C’mon.
