(POST-GAME) @DePaul, Sun. Mar. 3, Noon, FS-1 / 970 AM

Plain and simple, this was a horrible loss. Coming out after the half and quickly blowing a 9 point lead while making Struss look like a 1st round draft pick was very difficult to watch. The practice of not sending anyone to the offensive boards while launching shots from all over is failing miserably. Roberts looks OK, but he is just not ready for extended minutes. Why is Keita glued to the bench? The absence of an experienced associate coach is glaring.

My first time venting this season, but we are regressing and running out of time.

You should vent more often. It's cathartic!
We do not have a good coach and Justin Simon is not a very good player.

Simon plays so disorganized and Mullin is not a good coach so he doesn’t do anything but scream at the refs.

A real coach does not lose this game.
I started questioning Mullin his first season, and it had nothing to do with our W-L record. It was style of play and the disorganization. I gave him a pass because the talent wasn't there. But I could see holes in his coaching.

I gave him a pass his second year as well because we were somewhat youthful and raw. Last season is when I really started getting perturbed. This season is just an extension of last season, if you ask me.

Y'all are wasting time thinking he'll resurrect this program. If y'all are pining for another assistant coach, then we need a head coach.

Likely 8-10 BEC and maybe 0-1 in BET. 20-12 on Selection Sunday.
IF it comes to that, we would not deserve a bid.

Team's collapse can be pointed first to the head coach. Players seemed lost much of the time. I think he is still in player-mode and does not understand that lesser skilled players can't do what is could as a player. He seems lost watching the game play.
I don't know if he can improve, even with better players.

Regardless of if we actually do or not we are not nearly good enough to be a tourney team. We are 8-9 being swept by bad PC and DePaul teams. Don't give me they're good...they both suck against any real team nationally. All the fans knew we needed size for years and we never got real size. Keita ducks when someone goes to make a layup. The Big East isn't really this good this year...we just make bigger teams look like world beaters because we have no bigs. We made it very easy to game plan against us. Pound the paint and let the refs take over the game. Get 30-40 FT's, watch SJ chuck and miss all day, and win. We have an awful staff.

Maybe expectations were too high this year. The team won a few close games they could have easily lost early in the season. They have some good players and provided a lot of excitement, but the truth is all of the teams in the Big East are solid this year. To consistently win, you have to have good players, a serviceable bench, good coaching, and sometimes a little bit of luck. We have shortcomings that make is vulnerable. Basketball is an unpredictable game. And these are just kids playing afterall.

5-1 against Marquette, Creighton and Villanova.
3-8 against everyone else.

We should start peaking right around the Big East tournament. Everything coming together smoothly.

Just a very bad loss. Can't just keep making the same obvious post game comments - need to make adjustments if you don't want results repeated over and over. I'll leave it at that.

Almost every BE game was competitive this year. It was a very balanced conference. So it's no surprise to finish close to .500. I have to imagine that fatigue set in towards the end of the season and it may have played a role in recent weeks. The rotation was really short all season even without considering a few injuries. That takes a toll on the kids as the season wears on.

That’s what it’s going to come too.
ive been a huge Mullin fan but if we lose out including the Big East tourney he has to go.
59 pnts in the 2nd half, and 36 by one guy???? You gotta be kidding me. Mullin just standing on the sidelines like duhhh what can i do?
I'm changing my tune. Forget waiting until May to see if he'll get a new coach, if they lose out, then he needs to go.

Up 9pnnts at halftime then just like that you get creamed by 18 in the 2nd half? Screw this.

I havnt lost hope on the season yet and still think we can beat close to anyone on given night but that was tough. Very tough. There isn’t a player in the BE that’s given the big FU to St John’s more than Femi. Shit if we blow this season a lot can be credited to him completely dominating us for two games we should have one, let alone what he could have done to help us this year had he chosen sju.

Season finale against X is a must win now. We win that and we are in. We lose that and we may need to win two BET games and that may only get us to Dayton.

Unreal we couldn’t take either of these games.

I have a feeling Niko Carvacho will do that to us next year if we don’t grab him.
