Dollar beer night is good luck charm, we need it at Alumni Hall.
Lavin's picture on the T-shirt is what did it...

They just said, in the Fox studio, that we were 15/16 from two point range in the second half.

Great contributions all around tonight. Hopefully, Simon will be back soon. I know he takes a lot of heat on here, but we will need him at some point. That being said, it was nice to see Trimble step up. Sometimes guys just need to play. Williams too, was decent, and they said he was not feeling well, either. Heron kept us afloat early, when things were not going well. Clark found his stroke in the second half (got some lucky bounces, but we were due for that).

Ponds and LJ are basically givens on most night. When the others step up, is when we play our best ball.

Just like that, we are tied with Seton Hall for 3rd in the Big East!

Would be great to get even one of these next two games, but I don't think it's the end of the world WRT the NCAA Tournament if we don't (especially with a win over Marquette already in our pockets).

I thought Clark played a very solid game tonight. 9 points, 7 rebounds and tough d w/o fouling.
Didn't like the way Shamorie started the game, but he was fantastic in last 30 minutes and it was great to see Bryan T. have a big game when we needed him most and get some much deserved respect.

This year has been a wild ride so far, but a lot of fun (with some frustration for sure).

See I think that helped us because those fans were just happy no matter what. They paid $13 less than I did for a beer at Garden on Sunday
No I think it was 20 below weather and being able to be warm for a few hours that made them happy...

We win a must win game on the road with Justin sick.
16 wins and no longer in last place.
Steve Lavin tee shirt night at Creighton? Guess it was a good omen.
Trimble did a decent job subbing for Simon.
The bench actually was effective for the first time all season.
Now all we need for the Duke game is Zion getting arrested on a DUI and we take Marquette to the wire.

Bench played well. Hopefully, starters will be able to be fresher longer if bench continues to play this well.

Decent? You are a tough marker!

Sweet, gritty, must-needed win!
This team is as good as many thought after the first Marquette and G*Town games.
The issue has been maintaining consistency with Ponds’ injury, a thin bench and some off games by a few starters sapping us of energy and team unity.
We got that back tonight in spades.
Let’s keep it going, keep it close at Duke, and run a few BE wins off the table, beginning with Marquette next week.
Let’s go Johnnies!
What's the deal with the Lavin t-shirt the night we played them? They had to be trolling us, right?
Only the second home-and-home sweep that Mullin has gotten in his four years as head coach (Depaul two years ago).

We did beat Georgetown twice two years ago, but it was 2 out of 3 (second win was in the Big East Tournament).

I thought 13-5 would win the league but with Nova at 8-0 and Marquette at 8-1 I don't think either ends up with 5 losses right now.

I think Lavin was on the shirts because him and McDermott were messing with each other last year for dollar beer night and they had some inside jokes.

Anyway, very nice to get a convincing win in a tough environment away. Happy to see our shots finally falling for the first time in like 3 games. Can't puff our chests out, because we rarely play back to back great games and are very inconsistent, but maybe we sneak up on Duke. We are still in a hole not where we want to be but this win averted outright disaster. If we can somehow escape this roadtrip 2-1 it would be massive. I'd rather beat Duke than Marquette, because we can still make the tourney under .500 with Duke and Marquette wins.

They all played well and certainly harder than they have in recent games but they still are not all playing to their top potential. Waiting for that game when Heron isn't turning the ball over rather than passing. Waiting for Keita to be effective inside the paint. Even Shamorie Ponds as good as played didn't value the ball on at least three possessions.
Hopefully they get it all together after the Marquette game.
