(POST-GAME) @Butler, Sat. Jan. 19, 4:30pm, FOX / 570AM

There was not many positives in this game. They were not prepared for Tucker at all. Another must win against Georgetown and they then need to steal one against Marquette or Creighton. I can't think any further ahead then that.

Especially with the talent on this team.
Exactly. From a starting 5 perspective most talent since Jarvis beginning and even worse it's mostly veterans. We gotta have the oldest starting 5 in the big east or close to it
I would think we have one of the oldest starting 5's out of the power conferences.

This is a team that lives and dies by Ponds--he either has to shoot the 3 well or make assists and today he did neither. Was lax on defense too.The TV announcer at the half commented that Mullin was attributing the team's poor first half performance to apathy and mentioned Ponds specifically.

I love Ponds and hope he is not hurt. Few more games like today and he will be back next year.

Glad you were able to watch I saw all the other games so it was not hard to make some opinions. Since you watched every play perhaps we can hear some of your wisdom which could lead to a turn around would enjoy hearing as would the coach what needs to be done. We can never have too many experienced player coaches helping us who have little basketball knowledge .

I apologize, didn't mean any harm. I get a bit frustrated from these losses.

This is the Big East fellas. Road wins are rare unless you are elite. Gtown becomes close to a must win now. We are only in this spot because of crap luck with Ponds missing the one gimmee in the schedule.

If given the choice I take this team over either of Lavin's tournament teams. I think they'll make some noise later.

What will it be after tomorrow?

I felt they weren't going anywhere when it counted. They did nothing in the BET and were blown out v. Gonzaga.

This team is more like Uconn that season. Barely makes it but a team nobody wants to play.

With a full week of practice before the Geo game I would like to see the staff get Kieta and Williams more into the offensive flow of the game earning them more minutes for the rest of the season.

It kills me to say this, but I think that Lavin’s first team was better all around. They were much more balanced and deep, and had size. They were also far more disciplined. Dare I say, they looked to be better coached.

I can't respond how I'd like without being banned. Ask me on JJ.

Depth, experience, continuity, size...that team has it all. But they couldn't hit the offensive glass at all and they didn't have a guy who could take over. This team has someone that can take over and they CAN rebound on offense.

UCONN barely made it?

They were a 3 seed genius. A 3 seed means the committee felt they were one of the 12 best teams in the country. I may add the BE that year was maybe the best individual year a major conference has ever had. This SJU team has done nothing to equate into that other than your esteemed opinion.
