Haha yeah well CMA is a clown. Where was the suspension for Curbelo after the presser incident, Curbelo clowned him but he started the next game. If I was coach and you disrespect, you'll be done playing at SJU as long as I'm there. Don't care who you are either

Who know maybe Pinzon seen that nothing happened with Curbelo, and thought he could post that with no consequences.

He learned a hard lesson in life, some can respect a coach, and others can't
 
Surprised about Pinzon. I didn't think he was the type to make this kind of mistake. In any event, I agree he should be out for at least a few games and he may have played his last game as a Johnny.

Why should be out? Are you not allowed to call out incompetence? I’m not sure MA has called it quits on the season himself.

Because you don't publicly call out your head coach, assistant coach, teammate, trainer or anyone affiliate with the team. That's not being a good teammate, it's conduct detrimental, and it's beneath most every team's standards for behavioral expectations.

The school president is actually a basketball fan. I'm confident this time for the first time in a long time that the coach will be competent. Will he be elite? There's only one elite name out there and the board seems against it, so we'll see. I will tell you Brey is a better coach than CMA, as much as you don't want him.

Definitely take some time during championship week when every game can be found somewhere. Check out Colgate. Check out VCU. Check out Hofstra. Check out Charleston. Check out FAU. There are quality candidates.
 
Agree, don't rush into a hire, do a deep dive into a good number of candidates and at minimum consult with numerous individuals well versed in the college basketball world. And by all means get JR's approval before the actual hiring so he can't complain about the new coach ;) :giggle:;)(y)

One of those situations where both sides are wrong. Pinzon was out of line; Anderson's reaction doesn't help.

Sadly, this team is spiralling out of control. I was starting to think Anderson might yet save himself but the collapse of the team around him should pretty much close another shoddy chapter in the history of St. John's basketball.
 
One late night I was bored and looked at a few coaching list the "coaching candidates" list.
I looked at them all:

The 4 that I like the most are Langel (Colgate), Dusty May (FAU), Grant McCasland (N Texas), and Pat Kelsey (Charleston)

I'll be watching those 4 with interest.
