Does Lavin take a commitment from Bourgault this weekend if he gives one, or does he wait until he has Sanchez first?
A good question. I'm gonna assume he'll go with the latter. Just an opinion.

Moot point I think.
Cooley introduced the mayor of Providence to Sanchez. The mayor is Dominican.

What was the recruiting pitch? "If you want to be successful like me . . . do your undergrad at Harvard, and then Georgetown for law school."

LOL I guess you read his bio, LJSA.
St. John's has Felipe Lopez. He's well-known and well-respected. I could be wrong, but I think meeting a former (Dominican) hoops player would be more impressive than meeting the mayor of Providence. Not to mention, NYC has a large dominican contingent.

Moe is Puerto Rican not Dominican. Hay Gringo!!!!
Maybe Providence pushing a bit too hard with the Domincan thing? Lavs doesn't need to sell the Dominican angle in NYC. It's well known there is a large Dominican population already. Maybe it's me, but I don't see why Cooley even bothers trying to sell the Dominican mayor of Providence to this kid considering the schools he's competing against, especially SJU. It's pretty much a "hey, we have some Dominicans too" angle. Not sure how much impact that will have against a school like SJU.
Orange and green, litvak and galitz, ebo and yaruba, serb and croat, etc. From our distant perspective all of these groups that have had decades and sometimes centuries of conflict look like Irish, Jews, Nigerians, Yugoslavs, Was it Satayana who said that people who do not learn from history are doomed to sing Kingston Trio songs about it that end in "and I don't like anybody very much".
