Off Season Tidbits

Some chatter that staff looking to set up either a closed scrimmage soon with a team from northeast or charity exhibition if asked.
 
For those of you who are fans of good defensive teams you should be pleased as I was advised that staff has been focusing a great deal on defence to date. Typically good D leads to some easy baskets on the other end and that should help this team that at present has two known good offensive commodities. Also should permit more players to be involved in the rotation as good D is more physically taxing on the players. I for one am looking forward to this new style of play.

Gotta think it willl be a mixture of both defensive schemes.

Get a defense like uva's or even better.

I'm not on Twitter. I just Googled Phavre podcast.

I'm another non-twitter guy and really appreciate the links Ron posted. I enjoyed the Marv Clark interview - a real class act. Didn't feel like I learned a lot from the second part on recruiting though.
Will look forward to listening to the other two podcasts over the weekend.

If Phavre Phan reads this and I kind of suspect he does next time you have one of our former recent players can you ask them when they were at St Johns how much did they read social media St Johns whether it's here or twitter or whatever

I like these podcasts. Nice job

While the laziness thing has been done to death, I don't think the last staff has gotten sufficient heat for how badly some of their recruiting risks ultimately turned out. Zach Brown, Lovett, Wright come immediately to mind but sure there were others bad gambles.
