Hearing we may be JUCO-free fairly soon

Moore and Cole???

Intepret my potentially unsupported rumor as you will.  FWIW, I am also hearing that there may be "Moore" to the story about IM missing Thursday b/c of contact tracing.

I wouldn't doubt that. The bottom line is that CMA is a no nonsense coach who has been successful everywhere he's been. If these guys aren't down with the program then good riddence. Let's get Blocker , Justin and another Big in here and we'll be fine. If not Justin then another wing player. We don't need kids here who are not going to buy in.

Being Juco All American does not always translate to accepting a role, team ball and abiding by a system. Broad brush, but often the case in dilluted Juco terrain

If true, disheartening after a surprisingly good season.  But if so we move on...

Addition by subtraction.  We are . . .

He didn't say the announcement pertained to him. My prediction;  he's about to share the announcement that Justin will be joining the Johnnies? /media/kunena/emoticons/wink.png

Some kids take longer then others to buy in. And some of those kids turn out to be the finest young men from thier growth. Case in point, D'Lo. Besides, we don't exactly have an abundance of 6'10", athletic and skilled players. So I ain't so quick to say "don't let the door hit you on the way out"

Moore is the most skilled big man we've had in a long time.  Definitely an important piece going forward

Agreed Beast, and hopefully this is much ado about nothing. But, if he doesn't want to buy in and is going to be a distraction then let him go and get a kid in here who is going to buy in and out the team first. That's all I'm saying. I don't want to see him leave.

I'm shocked that some posters expect Roberts here next season.

It seems like I'm in the minority, but I expect a purge. I think Roberts is gone. I think Cole is gone. I think Earlington is gone. I think McGriff is gone. Up until recently I thought Moore was a lock to come back, but now I'm not so sure.

I'm trying to keep a level head, but if Justin actually 1) left Pitt, and 2) came here, I think we'd get a talented big man observing what was forming and decide to come aboard as well. It would be the most talented team here in years . . . but again, trying to keep a level head and not get my hopes up.

Agree Robert's not a Big East player, not an offensive threat. But to think that pushing out 5 players in one offseason from a winning team is a desired result is absurd!
I never said they'd all be pushed out. And not sure if players who I think are leaving actually do leave is a desired result unless better transfers plug the holes. Moore would be a tremendous loss.

I can see it annoying Cole for sure. Moore should at least have been used to it given how stacked his juco team was, and how good his production per minute was there.

The NCAAs ridiculous plan of allowing everyone to transfer with immediate eligibility will have hundreds of college coaches pulling their hair out and if they go through with the plan they better put a reasonable ending date of this stupid idea or coaches won't know all summer who they will have suiting up in the fall.
