Another Pitt player transferred today. Maybe the big one is next.

Think the team will miss Dunn a lot more then many of our fan base expect. Hoping we can compensate by bringing in an experienced combo guard and with Posh's growth as a soph. 

For a team that does best in a fast paced game, Dunn  was a good fit for a few reasons. Good motor,  fast hands on defense, and a really good finisher aroud the basket. Good finisher with either hand with equal skill and used the glass as an extra screener. That said,  I'm hoping that Pinzon can do what Posh, Dunn and Wusu found some difficulty with.  From what I have seen, Pinzon has excellent court vision and plays with a lot of maturity. Becasue he has some size and a passer's instincts, I'm counting on him to drive and dish for open shots. A lot of trees in the Big East.

[Mullins Revenge]

My offseason wish list;

Posh/Wusu - stay in the gym all summer and get up a minimum of 500 shots a day.  Both these 2 need to develop consistant jump shots

Cole/Moore - both need a serious weight training and weight gaining program.  These 2 need to get in the gym and do the big boy exercises to put on some mass - squats, deadlifts, bench press etc.  They also need to be taking weight gainer shakes and eating peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches all summer.

Earlington - Id like to see Earlington work on his foot speed and jumping ability.  Duke needs to hit the jump rope, calf raises and hit the vertimax to increase his vertical.

Greg Williams - lower back extensions 3 days a week to strengthen that back up.  Also aggressiveness and aplha male training so he becomes more assertive on offesne.

Champy - similiar to Earlington.  He should be working to become quicker and more explosive.  Maybe some lower body weight training and plyometrics.

I doubt Justin hangs around at Pittsburgh being the ship is fast sinking.  We'll find room for him aboard our ship.

Maybe he never really landed here. Maybe it's all a figment of our imagination. Like a Twilight Zone episode  lol

Absolutely, but the brothers have said they want to make a decision next year. They could, theoretically, chance it and both transfer to a blue blood, but I don't see that happening for a few reasons. They know SJU and CMA's system, and they've seen that Julian can thrive in it. Leaving to a new system, both could have off years which would hurt their NBA prospects. You can't discount that it would bring the brothers back together, and at home. Ultimately, I think if they both play college next year, it will be at SJU.

Stanley is really about 6'7 & Traore about same size, with great reach. Both can help at forward, but let's not delude ourselves, neither will fill big man void. If Texas Tech transfer materializes he too lacks the bulk to guard the post and seems a hybrid with some defensive skills. Also, it will be interesting to see if he sticks here.

Josh seems great kid, but really not a BE level player. Touting him increasing his strength or












blossoming is folly. Beating the dead horse, we don't need Shaq, but for goodness sake, it is essential




to shore up the middle with strength, size and competence. This void has gone on far too long and with fertile transfer market it is time to land someone. It is the missing link on a team that has all other ingredients to make noise next year.

I think Josh is a valuable 10-12 minute per game sub.   In brief spurts he can do damage, like block a few shots and throw one down.   He is too foul prone to play 15-20 minutes at this level, but I wouldn't cast him off.    His highlight reel is impressive though.  I never agreed with those who trashed Mullin for not playing him enough when he Anderson started him for the OOC season last year.  Roberts performs well against lesser competition, but agreed that he has to improve to be the equal of most skilled Big East big men. 


If anything I do not want to see Josh start next year.

Doesnt matter. I believe it's not even Julian decision anymore. I believe Justin is the one who wants to come here.

Never thought of that.... If Justin doesnt get a first round guarantee... with the free transfer rule, they both can have the Program of their choice- similar to the Martin twins (Nc state -> Nevada)- but these two are better. What college wouldnt sign first team ACC/BE players. One team/Coach comes to mind if they want exposure for their draft status...Kentucky.

Hopefully I just jinxed that scenario and we end up with the best set of twins since the Morris's at Kansas.

Agreed MCNPA, in order to Justin and Blocker here Roberts and McGriff would have to leave. If we got those two guys, I don't think we would even need that big. Look at Alabama this year and what they did in the SEC. they don't have a ton of size and they play a fast game just like us. Moore and Niywe putting on some muscle and few pounds we should be fine.

I have not seen Justin play . Not knowing that , besides his obvious high skills he has , does he possess the same type game as Julian?  And , are there real chances the Brothers and their Parents want that to happen ?
