Obekpa's Next Move

Was expecting to see a tryout with the Harlem Globetrotters. At least he'd have some company with Slick Willie Shaw. They do have similar resumes. However, those shorts would be too long for Obekpa's liking I'm sure.

Why is it necessary to drag Willie Shaw into this post. Willie made some mistakes in college, regrouped and is now a responsible family man who has established himself as a Globetrotter. Mentioning Willie was a juvenile effort at being cute, SMH !!!!!

Wille Shaw could become POTUS, and it still wouldn't negate the fact that he and Obekpa both were suspended for weed just prior to a NCAA tourney game. If you feel good about these kind of players putting on the SJU jersey, more power to you. Didn't mean to strike a nerve with a Willie Shaw reference, one of SJU's greatest apparently.

I have no issue with players getting high. It's sort of like politicians screwing us. It's business as usual.

Not sure what you mean by these kinds of players ? Additionally, if you think that Chris O and Willie are the only St Johns players to have smoked marijuana, you are delusional. They got caught, and in Willie's case he lost the rest of his career. However, bringing it up almost 15 years later serves no purpose. This conversation is over.

"These kind of players" meant the only 2 that got suspended just prior to a NCAA tourney game. Willie got caught twice and Obekpa had a few issues. What's your point? I don't have to love every player that puts an SJU jersey on.

Is this a copy and paste for my response to yours when you didn't understand how Lavin wasn't coaching when he had cancer?....Yeah that hit home with me and I will never forget that post as a cancer survivor.
