Think you should let it go. He ain't coming back this time.If he is leaving because he thinks he wont get a lot playtime, would Sima becoming ineligible change his mind? I would rather Sima not become ineligible, but if he does and it causes Obekpa to change his mind then I will take it.

@JonRothstein: St. John's transfer Chris Obekpa will visit Minnesota in the next few days, source told @CBSSports. Sit one, play one. #sjubb
The door is permanently shut, no need to worry or beat this to death.
Was expecting to see a tryout with the Harlem Globetrotters. At least he'd have some company with Slick Willie Shaw. They do have similar resumes. However, those shorts would be too long for Obekpa's liking I'm sure.
CO:
Last year:
Was suspended beginning of this year during our exhibition games (had to be pretty bad to be suspended by Lavin).
Quit on our team during the Big East Tournament in a critical game. The team we lost to (Providence) went on to win the Big East Tournament.
Quit the team at the end of the season.
This year:
Was suspended for two weeks before the tournament. Before our biggest opportunity in 15 years against a very beatable team.
Quit on the team a second time, this time because he didn't want to put in the effort and play by the rules. This right here should be a HUGE red flag for other teams.
I'm sure I'm missing stuff, both public knowledge and nonpublic knowledge, but these are some major offenses. It comes down to this: he's a quitter.
Who the hell would want him on their team? Yeah he's a good player but he's not an elite player. Certainly not worth the drama.

At some point, there is the possibility that he turns the corner on his attitude issues, and at his age, it can happen with a fresh start and the right mentor/coach. That was not going to happen here, but it could happen somewhere else and I think he's worth a look by other programs.
