Oakland cops

Didn't get it 45 years ago, still don't get it today.

you know something is happening
but you don't know what it is
do you
Mr. Jones

You have exposed your true identity! Welcome to redmen.com Robert Zimmerman!!!

I didn't realize we were all that old.

I think FUN graduated from SJ Lewis Ave in 1952 and was a member of the famous Final Four team and was known for telling jokes in the locker room to loosen up the team. He did not play much and it is rumored that whenever the coach McGuire put him in a game he would say to him " o.k., get in there clown".

oakland is a police officer's wet dream...and muammar kelly's here in new york.

There's something happening here
What it is ain't exactly clear
There's a man with a gun over there
Telling me I got to beware

Im not sure why this thread is in basketball forum but- saw some great video(Oakland) of protesters out of control pushing metal barricades into the cops grabbing a cop around his neck. I think using tear gas was kind.

This is not a basketball forum, it's the players lounge forum.
It's not for fox news viewers.

Well, the plus side is I really NEEDED to lose 65 lbs. Just hadn't planned on doing it in 6 weeks....(and I'd kinda like to STOP at 65!)....

Vaguely disgruntled members of the most coddled generation in history, faced for the first time with even the slightest responsibility - ie having to fill in the paperwork to defer the repayment of the hundred thousand dollars they borrowed to take a degree in Interpretive Dance - take to the streets, whinging about the unfairness of it all and the scary banker monsters under their beds, demanding peace love and forebearance and threatening to hold their breath until they turn blue. They're joined in the their struggle by the usual parade of nazis, marxists, socialists, environuts, union thugs, america haters and malcontents. Chests swelling with pride their grandparents, vapid aging baby boomers nostalgic for their own preposterous youth, smile contentedly, remembering nights filled with Vanilla Fudge and Thunderclap Newman, until at last they're snoring in their easy chairs.

And to all a good night. Twenty three skiddoo bitches and remember: don't eat the brown antacid.

Don't be too quick to criticize decisions made by the Oakland Police Department in any given situation.
It's too easy to Monday morning quarterback their actions 2,000 miles away sitting behind your computer keyboard.
Your not standing with them behind a barrier on the front line in uniform making those decisions.....

Watch it jackass.
My wife runs a hospice up here and she and many of her staff have particpated in the movement in Boston.
You obviously don't even get the point of the protestors.
Go read your YAF scrapbooks and don't go there again.

I find your continual vague threats exceedingly stupid and boring. I'm sorry, did I say exceedingly stupid and boring? I meant terrifying obviously. They're quite terrifying. In fact, let me check, yes: it seems I've soiled my pants. I hope you're happy now. This is never going to come out.

I kid obviously and have to apologize. See, I didn't know that there were threads in which you were the arbiter of what sort of thought was acceptable and what sort of expression of that thought was appropriate. I thought they did away with that forum where you would call everyone who disagreed with you despicable names and then delete the posts where anyone complained or responded in kind because you were completely incapable of defending your point of view in an open and fair debate and had to resort to petty censorship. I thought there was a code of conduct, within the bounds of which my free speech was protected. I see now that I was mistaken. My bad.
