It wasn't pretty, but they fought through a lot of spotty fielding. Another great job by the bullpen tonight.

Just when we think they're out, they pull us back in!

There were no positives about Cleveland blowing us out twice in a row, but it did give some of the key bullpen people a much needed rest.

Chapman has looked very good his last few times out.

Toronto struggling at a really bad time.

Again I think 92 will definitely get them in, maybe 91.  To get to 92 have to win 6 out of 9 and got first win tonight.

Nice wire to wire win last night. Maybe, just maybe, this team is on one of their hot streaks to close out the regular season. One can hope.

Would there be anything sweeter than the Yanks making the playoffs while knocking the Sox out of it?

DJ out of the lineup with something sounds like a hip pointer (Boone wasn't too clear).  Not expected to be serious.

Long time Yankee fan and appreciate the fact they are always in the hunt in September. What frustrates me is there is no one I feel comfortable is going to come through at the plate in the clutch a la Tino, O'Neill, Brosius, Jeter etc. Believe it or not I am most optimistic with Gardner in those moments which is a sad comment. Stats may not back me up but that is my perspective.

Has there ever been a more ill-timed post? I'll take the heat and celebrate the result lol!

I've been tough on Stanton. Always hurt. Too one dimensional. Never liked the trade for him.

But he has been huge the last month.

game 162/155. 7 more games.
it was the most important comeback win in the storied history of the greatest rivalry in all of sports.
the big g bandwagon has more people on it per square inch than the f train at rush hour pre pandemic.
the big g is making/has made a strong bid to be the yankees mvp.
dare we whisper sweep? dare we whisper home field advantage for the wild card game?
i have been highlighting gardy's bat misfortunes all season, i am fully on his bandwagon.
