Yanks played a full 9 inning game (well 8 and 1/2 anyway). They must be exhausted.

They really aren't tired.  The guys from yesterday didnt play today. /media/kunena/emoticons/whistling.png

Even sitting on the bench is no day at the beach. /media/kunena/emoticons/wink.png

spring training game 8.
lots of chatter from announcers, boone, catching coach about kraken's epiphany.
stanton/monty looked good. gardner looking for bigger in season role.

spring training game 9.
kraken making more and more people believe.
bruce solidifying his roster spot.
deivi will see the bronx some time this season.

Britton out 3-4 months is going to hurt.
I thought that he's out for one month.

Same surgery that Urshela had and with Britton being a pitcher, add more time.

spring training game 10.
stanton, torres, kraken stay hot
gardner telling all, he is still a starter
german looking for the ball on opening day.

With Britton going down I'd be curious if this Luke Luetge makes the team.  Minor League Free Agent who's pitched really good this spring and has insane spin rates on 3 or 4 pitches he throws.  I'm more intrigued by him than Justin Wilson part 3 or whatever.

Oh Yankees won.  6-1 over the Fighting Girardi's
Hicks with 2 run HR
Johnny Lasagna with 3 perfect innings in relief.

spring raining game 11.
as noted by moose, loaisiga served up 3 tasty innings.
the bench out hit the starters 8 hits to 6.

spring training game 12.
boone plays his starting hitters every other game.
then the bench players get their day. game 12 was a bench day.
so using a tourney term - the last 6 in are -
gardner, kraken, bruce, frazier, the tauch, wade
taillon started.“These games, right now, matter a lot, especially to me, not having played in a while,” Taillon said on Friday, having tossed 2 2/3 scoreless innings in the Yanks’ https://www.mlb.com/gameday/yankees-vs-tigers/2021/03/12/642075#game_state=final,lock_state=final,game_tab=box,game=642075]4-2 Grapefruit League victory over the Tigers in Lakeland, Fla. “There’s some urgency on my end just to put in good work every day. When I go home tonight, I’ll really think about what I did well, because it’s going to start counting here soon.”Envisioned as New York’s No. 3 starter behind Gerrit Cole and Corey Kluber, Taillon didn’t exhibit sharp command, tossing 28 of 51 pitches for strikes while issuing three walks. But his stuff was good, as he permitted a pair of hits, struck out four and was clocked as high as 95.1 mph with his fastball. Taillon averaged 93.9 mph with his 28 heaters, also tossing 12 curveballs, nine sliders and two changeups.

7-5 win today over Bucs
Kluber 4 innings 2 runs
DJ 3 run HR
Hicks 2 hits
Gary, Stanton and others with about 4 foul home run rockets down LF line.
Section 10's favorite Chad Green gave up a few runs in relief

*Really loving the splitter from Chapman he rolled out towards the end last year.  With even a 95 mph fastball and the slider and splitter thats tough arsenal

spring training game 13.
hot sticks - on game 13 and in the spring - torres, hicks, dj, gardner

kluber loves the yankee sticks -

"You're aware of how deep and relentless a lineup like ours is," Kluber said. "Going into it, you know it's going to be a battle that day. I speak from experience; they're all disciplined hitters, they're not going up there just free-swinging. They all can do damage, but they all have a plan. I think that makes them even more dangerous."

spring training game 14.
16 different yankees batted. mostly 2nd, 3rd, 4th stringers.
deivi will be in the bronx before the feast of St Joseph the worker.
vegas has yanks at 95 1/2 wins.
despite being in the section with tampa and toronto, i favor the over.
chad and jeremy to tie his career high of 8 wins, all in relief, as boone yanks starters early and often.

spring training game 15.
stanton, torres, and kraken - hot today, hot this spring.
baseball's selection sunday is palm sunday this year - when starting pitchers are announced
today german clinched sp#1.

spring training game 16.
frazier keeping gardner's challenge in check for the lf spot.
cole's outing highlites the growing distance between german's sp#1 spot and cole's sp#2 spot.
loaisiga celebrating St Joseph's day early with another fine outing.

Monty lights out again on the hill

Yanks win 8 straight.

Rotation looking good

Cole
German
Monty
Kluber
Taillon
Garcia

spring training game 18.
with deivi again pitching well,
come playoff time cole might slip to sp#3.
