Chapman follows up the HR with a HPB and walk. He has officially lost it. Just got pulled.
He can't be closing games right now.  Put him in non-pressure situations for the time being.

Right now, it should be a combination of Loiasiga and Greene, with Britton getting the job upon his return.

I really believe the team is so intent on showing their confidence in guys like Chapman and Torres, that it is having negative effects on them.  Sometimes, guys just have to be benched, even if they are good soilders.

Cole contract beginning to have all the earmarks of a major boondoggle ala the Stanton contract if his past effectiveness was tied to illegal substances.

I actually hope that he's pitching through some minor injury.  Would explain a lot.

But, if you're right, it will be a bad deal, but I couldn't kill the Yankees over it.  Nobody knew that was coming.

he’s no Roger Clemens.

Would have been a really bad loss for the Mets given the error in the second and Nimmo being called out on the botched replay.  Terrible loss of the Yankees, and on top of an equally terrible loss earlier this week.

him and many others have had horrible months of June. Going to be interesting to see if they jump back up when baseball adds some standard applications that they claim to be working on.

I did not catch Boone's 1st postgame after yet another brutal loss under his leadership (or lack thereof). Did anyone ask him why he didn't let Green close the 1st game after throwing only 2 pitches in the 6th inning? Overriding opinion at the BBQ I was at was that pitching him in the 7th was a no brainer.

he spoke of trying manage the second game even though there is a day off tomorrow. Really his most asinine comment to date I’d say

Who stayed up?
I went to sleep at 9-0

Watched it this morning. Voit 5 hits. Chapman loaded the bases in the 9th, but did not give up a run.

Watched it in 20 minutes this morning.  I will not stay up to watch this team.  Wake me when they win 10 straight........

Last night seemed like one of those times, where getting 3000 miles away from everything, was the best thing that could happen to the team.  They seemed to relax, and just play ball.  We'll see how long it lasts.

What little momentum the Yanks may have had after last night is out the window already. German, who has not been very good, is scratched. Nick Nelson, a non-major leaguer, is set to start a bullpen game.
