Which means, if you sat through tonight's near two hour delay, and you want to use your ticket for Sunday afternoon, you only get to see 7 innings.

I'm neutral on 7 inning doubleheaders, but not if they are going to be day-night.  Day-night doubleheaders should be 9 innings.  I can live with 7 inning doubleheaders if they are on one ticket.

Agree. Single game scheduled for 7 innings? Give a 2/9 refund or $20-$25 credit for concessions.

The Yankees wanted to make up tonight’s game as part of a two-Stadium doubleheader on Sept 12. The teams have played at both New York stadiums on the same day in the past. But Mets’ management wouldn’t agree to that proposal.

Any truth to the rumor that even though Judge was voted to the All-Star team, Boone has asked the AL Manger to rest him for the game since he needs another day off?
 
Another lackluster performance by an underperforming team. Then again, maybe they aren't underperforming. They're just mediocre and going nowhere. Another starter can't get out of the 5th inning. He can't get out lefties consistently. Yanks let a struggling team beat them up. I guess King is a better pitcher out of the bullpen. How bad is Wilson? Got 7 total on base in 9 innings. With all the shit swirling around this team, they phoned it in. Boone hangs his arm all game long on the railing, looking totally disinterested, knowing he's a dead man walking. Does he ever engage with any if his players? It's telling. What a mess this team is.
 
What is Boone watching? He thinks Wilson was competitive? He can't even stay focused on the question at hand during the postgame. His postgames are really uncomfortable. He keeps using "great" team labels with regard to the team. NOT.
 
My son is in from NC and going to doubleheader tomorrow - could we win one?

Basically same everyday players they've had for last 3-4 years when they did much better. Starting to think players are taking advantage of Boone's laid back demeanor. /media/kunena/emoticons/unsure.png

Cole spits up a 4-1 lead. They lead 5-4 heading into 7th and Chapman gives up a leadoff HR to Alonso to tie game.

Man the Yankees are a mess.
