NY YANKEES - 2021

Sanchez base running blunder resembled a wayward fan climbing out of the stands and aimlessly running around the field. He has more in game brain farts than I have anal farts after eating a plate of cabbage and two bowls of baked beans.

Yanks are playing undisciplined, unthinking baseball, which is reflected by the tone set by the manager.  There is no urgency to their play.

game 52.
another loss where the yanks had the tying run at the plate as the batter strikes out, ending the game.
how have the rays lost a game? they are at the top or near the top in - runs scored per game, team defense, stolen bases, road record, bullpen, risp. rays are almost TRIPLE the yanks in batting with risp.
top of yanks order - former mvp candidate dj - 4 at bats - 5 outs.
second batter - stanton - equal opportunity strike out - both swinging and watching - no ball past the pitcher.
another game - another infield error. plus a botched relay from outfield where rays runner scored.
kraken- i believe he is trying out for a part on 'walking dead'. pinch hits a walk in 8th inning. twice the ball gets away from the catcher. twice kraken does his best 'walking dead" stroll while anchored to first.

God, Boone is clueless. "Sticking to the game plan". Well guess what, it's not working, whatever the hell it is. Their at bats were awful, up and down the lineup. Taillon can't seem to get out of the 5th inning. He claims Stanton is just back, so give him a chance. Every year he has 1 month that helps his BA, then the rest of the year he looks like shit. When is Boone accountable for this mess the Yanks have become?

Gleyber needs to sit.  I saw a replay of a throwing error.  I think it was his 9th error of the season.  The question is will he have 30 errors this season.  He’s not a major league shortstop.
Cashman has done a terrible job of assembling a team this year.  Bye, bye.

You can't sit him, as he's one of the few guys who had been swinging the bat decently.

I agree, he's not a shortstop.  Doesn't have the arm strength, and that's something that won't get much better.  For now, put him at second, play DJ at first (he's been horrible this year, BTW), and try Wade at short, if only to get some lefty balance.

game 53.
put salt on the pop corn
kraken has been voted by me as the dumbest ball player of all time in any sport at any level. add butter.
kraken is an equal opportunity strike out artist, strikes out looking, strikes out swinging, then strikes out with the ball at his ankles,
the yankee infield made their obligatory error early. no run scored.
2 very fine defensive plays by the yankee ss.
a really great defensive play by clint ,.
yank offense - 1st run scores on walk, 2nd run scores on wild pitch, 3rd run scores on opposite field homer.
but the last run scores on clint's walkoff homer. thhhhhhhhhhhhhhe yankees win.

So where exactly was Sanchez going on that play to third? Defintely the dumbest player in all of bsseball. And Boone gets the award once again for dumbest analytics move pitching to Meadows, who owns German, with 1st base open. Typical Boone unconscious. I'll take the win though. Still one of the most flawed Yankees team in recent history.

I'm here for the Gary comments.
I have my popcorn.
I'll say this for Kracken: who says sitcoms are no longer en vogue? On a positive note Clint Frazier came up as a butcher in the outfield and has turned himself into a good fielder who has made numerous great catches this season.

Yankee outfield tonight: Andujar LF, Judge CF & Frazier RF. I hope Montgomery induces lots of ground balls. Will Judge be on the IL tomorrow?

game 54. at the one third mark

gio goes deep for 2 runs. Yanks cover the over.
a poorly played nail biting win.
yanks first obligatory infield error lead to rays second run.
yanks second infield error lead to the rays third run.
then there was the yanks 7th inning or aka the kraken wannabee inning.
first and second no one out.
the runner on second is thrown out at third. the runner on first gets picked off.
bravo to clint - mr june - for his 2 rbis and 2 walks.

Another game of stellar base running and fielding.  This team stinks.

They tried so many ways to give this game away. The Boone era continues with a terrible lack of fundamentals,  especially with regard to fielding, baserunning and expanding the zone. This team stinks.

How do you let the best and hottest hitter beat you?  Yanks record with Cole starting is now something like 8-7, 9-8, or .500.  That is not good.  Right now that's the difference in not being higher in the Division.  The leadoff walks killed Cole today.  Thought Frazier should have had the looping single to to right.  Yanks blew big chance down 2-1 with 2nd & 3rd and no outs.  This team still stinks hitting with RISP.  How do we not have a SP for tomorrow?

game 55,
i despise the rays more than any other team, in any sport.
but the rays have the yanks and cole's number, this year and lately.
the rays are currently much better than the yanks. no brainer there.
as delaware pointed out, the yanks are crap hitting with risp.
rays are statistically 3 (three) times better than the yanks with risp.
game 55 examples. man on 2nd/one out, 2nd and 3rd/0 outs, man on 2nd/one out.
all the above happened in the first 5 innings and none of them scored.
boone was right to rip the home plate umpiring. many of the calls were bad.
an example was clint's 2nd at bat. all 3 called strikes were clearly out of the strike zone.

Past time for Boone and Cashman to be held accountable.
