NY YANKEES - 2021

game 11.
its top of 8th, yanks down 6 to 3, yanks have runners on 1st and 2nd, kraken on 1st, hicks at the plate, two outs.
pitch is thrown, ball bounces in front of plate, and hicks immediately signals the runners to move up a base.
but the ball only goes about 8 feet away and the catcher throws out kraken by about 30 feet. inning over.
was it hicks making yet another mental mistake? or
was it kraken picking up hicks signal very late?
i was watching the tv feed on the toronto station and their announcers said it was krakens mistake.
taillon's poor pitching put the yanks in a hole.
boone has kraken batting 4th.
.

Not that they were going to win, but that was an absolutely unbelievable baserunning mistake by Sanchez!!

5 hits in offense. One of many things wrong with this team. Starting pitching that goes only 4 innings every outing but Cole days. Geez. Boone in over his head, since Day 1 of his hiring.

Waste a 2 homer game by Judge. Right now Thaaaa Yankeeees Suuuuuk! especially the pitching and oh maybe the hitting too.

A big problem right now is that the Red Sox never lose.  9 in a row, and they are already 4 games ahead of us in the AL East.  Right now, they look like the juggernaut from 3 years ago.  I'm still not sure that their pitching will hold, but they have a margin of error to work with now.

We need to start winning, in order to at least stem the tide, because we won't have a chance to make it up head-to-head with them, until June.  Hopefully, they start falling off, soon.

Cheating always seems to win out, in College Recruiting (as we have seen) and in Baseball, with the Red Sox re-hiring a cheater Manager in Cora.  I had begun to respect the Red Sux for some of their most recent accomplishments, but once again have lost all respect after Cora's re-hiring!

You think Gary's base running was bad.
Nothing compared to this former Yankees hotshot prospect.

Nice find of Kracken's base running training film Moose. /media/kunena/emoticons/wink.png/media/kunena/emoticons/smile.png

I thought that was Moose's training film.

I'm smart enough to go one base to the next base.  Don't test my luck with more than that

Another debacle for the Yanks tonight. Poor pitching, fielding and hitting, across the board. Time to end the Boone experiment. How the hell did they not have Garcia starting this game tonight? Of course Stanton hits a meaningless bomb, but we're used to that. They made Wacha look like an ace. And they face Glasnow tomorrow.

Where are my ‘favorite’ Yankees fans after tonight
They were at the game throwing baseballs on the field. More action than the desultory Yankees provided.

game 13.
first time since 1998 the yanks have worse record in al.
i like to post about my beloved yanks the next morning, as by then my blood stops boiling.
full disclosure, i turned the game off when yanks were down 6 to zero and watched Rebel on my dvr.
half nelson was terrible. it could have been worse for him but 2 rays struck out swinging at ball four.
the rays are one of the worse scoring teams in the mlb and scored 8 runs.
again the yankee infield defense showed itself to be terrible.
kraken - in the first 5 innings, i counted 8 pitched balls with men on base thrown in the dirt in front of the plate.
kraken successfully handled all 8 fine.
but that play at the plate showed kraken to be either the dumbest catcher in baseball or the most gutless.
ohm. ohm.

I'm sure he'll deny it if asked, but Stanton has to be wondering if he made a mistake by not opting out in the offseason.

I know that it was the wise decision financially, but like Marcus Stroman said, piece of mind is important, and Stanton could have had a lot more of it, had he gone elsewhere.  Yes, he would have been roasted by the fans and media here for doing that, but that's happening anyway, so what's the difference?

It may come to the point soon, where the Yankees will just have to eat the money, and not care what they get back in trade.  When I say soon, I don't mean tomorrow, or next week.  Maybe another year or two if this keeps up.

Believe I heard announcer say TB has taken the last 7 series between the 2 teams. Can you say who's your daddy?
