NY Giants Draft Pick

RBs have a short shelf life, but Barkley is special. Chubb as a DL / LB has a better chance at longevity.
I'm happy with either. These two look like the real deal.
If the Giants remain at 2, I go Rosen. He is the most polished QB prospect in the draft. And he gets to sit for a year or two behind Manning.

If the Giants trade down (depending on how far of course), then you can look at Chubb, Nelson, Vea, or James.
I suspect that's the QB they like best. There are rumors from yesterday that Browns take Baker first. That certainly changes some draft boards. I think Jets wanted Baker at three, so maybe they go a different direction if he's gone.
I hope Barkley, but I think Chubb.
Barkley would give me a Chubb.

As a Bills fan this draft is driving us nuts. Everyone is waiting to see if we move up and try to grab a QB. Our GM said it depends who is still available at 5. I can't imagine us paying the same haul to the Giants that the Jets did to move up to 3. Unfortunately I'll be asleep by the time the draft starts.

I don't love any of the QBs. It feels like they are all being overhyped and should probably be drafted in the 5-15 range, but are instead going in the top 5.
The mock drafts propagate like rabbits. One of them has the Bills trading up to get Josh Allen. I haven’t followed all the hype about the QBs. Great debates though!
I’m convinced Barkley is the answer for the Giants. Hope I’m right that they pick him and that he works out. Otherwise the ‘be careful what you wish for’ curse beckons.
I like Barkley, but you can get RBs much later in the draft. Guys like Hunt went in the 4th last year.
Very true, but just about every evaluator and guru on this year’s NFL Draft grades Barkley off the charts. Gettleman waxes poetic about the guy’s exceptional skills. I think the guy is 6’0”, 234lbs, runs a 4.4 40, and is a great receiver. I’m for the gamble.

Chubb is good no doubt. He’d be my lick after Barkley. Looks like Browns May lick Chubb #4. Exciting Draft today! Wonder who Jets pick? Heard Darnold if still on board.

LOL
If we pick Barkley that tells me the Giants are satisfied with Davis Webb at quarterback. That's what I want.
If Barkley is Elliott/Fournette level, you can get away with not blowing a top-five pick on a QB -- assuming OL is taken care of.

Uh-oh. The QB advocates will love this. Just read a pre-Draft blurb, saying Giants will likely pick Barkley—but if Browns pick Mayfield instead of Darnold, Gettleman might be tempted to take Darnold.
He thinks Darnold the only QB in the draft worthy of the #2 pick.
Hang on.

This is my sentiment exactly.

Here we go!

Just hope the NYG don't pick [strike]Ki-jana Carter[/strike] Saquon Barkley.

Browns pick Mayfield!
Damn damn damn.
Darnold still on board.
Saquon please!

Damn!

For those comparing this pick to Ezekiel Elliot, here's the difference. Not one offensive lineman on the Giants could start for the Cowboys.

Please make picks 2 and 3 offensive lineman!

Please make picks 2 and 3 offensive lineman!
obviously way too early with how the first round shakes out but I think they will go offensive lineman in the 2nd

Thinking Giants will do that. Saquon is 6’0 and 233 LBs and lightening fast—with lightning-bug like jigs and jags.
Hearing you.
But hope they get Orlando Brown in a later round. Gettl man is one smart dude. Tellin’ ya.
The past few teams in the middle of the round have gotten some really good players.
I'm out. Hoping Orlando Brown available when Giants pick next.
He was 5th rated OT. Others should be gone.

I like the Barkley pick.
If I'm Gettleman, I really try to get Dez.
Imagine: Odell, Dez, and Shepard, with the TE and Barkley in the back field. Those are some pretty nasty weapons for Eli. Maybe he can go out a champ. Gettleman must think highly of Davis Webb too, he'll be getting chance in 2 or 3 years. You know he had a deep sigh of relief after that pick.
