NY Football Giants '24-'25

"Gi-aints" somehow manage to extend a boring game to OT and meet the losing expectations with Duke Jones throwing another 2 "completions" to opponents. In 10 games Duke has 8 TD's and 7 Int.

At 2-8, just keep losing baby, best thing that can happen. Want to be in the top 2 picks and get me Ward or Sanders, maybe even pick Dart in the 1st rnd. Ewers finally had a really good game.
The LSU kid had 2 more picks, 11 on the season.
Maybe he's a 2nd rounder.

That’s the Giants luck.

They should fall in love with a QB and try to trade down. Pile up assets. And trade back up for him if needed.

Nuss and Allair will come back to school.

That leaves Ward Sanders Milroe Ewers Beck and Dart.

Ward scares me
Sanders they won’t touch because of Deion drama
Milroe really intrigues me. Hurts like.
Ewers seems like a backup
Beck is a mystery how he went from top QB to forgotten
Dart has the moxie and putting up video game numbers. But doesn’t have the prototypical NFL measurable.

Milroe doesn't impress me.
Ewers before last week was just an avg QB but he was out a month.
Lets see if he can continue from last week.
Beck is nothing special.

I'd say that you would have to take a chance with Sanders or Ward at the #2 pick.

I like Sanders a lot. Tough, strong arm, accurate, with a gunslinger mentality.

Ward on the other hand, not so much. No one has a cleaner pocket than he does, and he does not have a great arm.

To my unprofessional, unknowing, yet undaunted opinion, more than another position, QB is about skill sets and measureables, that translates best from college to pro.

I still have Sanders, Nussmeier, as my top two. Then Dart, Rourke, Milroe in no particular order the next group. I am intrigued by Allar. He has positive physical traits, but Penn State’s coaching is doing him no favors. He could be a draft, sit, and learn guy who could develop into a very good quarterback.

Not to pat myself on the back, but I said from the beginning that Duke does NOT produce QB's. "Gi-aints" should pick a draft a QB who comes from a QB University program because you want a QB who has learned the fundamentals in school. Jalen Hurts played for Saban at Bama and did his last season at Oklahoma under Lincoln Riley who in the 2 previous seasons had Heisman winning QB's.

We are all not professionals here and clearly from the last 3-4 posts all have varying opinions.

Teams draft based on measurables and potential nearly all the time. Its why so many top picks flop and then Brock Purdy succeeds.

Will all hinge on who is coach and what player fits the scheme best.

We don’t lose well. Never have. That’s why we are always in draft hell.

If Nuss and Allair go back. Might be a good idea to sign someone like Justin Fields and wait until 2026. If they give Daboll another year might be interesting to see Fields under him. I wanted Russell in the off-season to push DJ and while he's a FA I would guess Steelers re-sign him.
