NIL

Is It me or is that one ugly set of wheels. Looks don't match price tag.

I've always like that jeepy G series look myself, though it does look a lot better from the front. But I'm not one to drop $130K+++ on a car. It's just a way of getting from point a to point b afterall. What you do at the points is what matters. That it's the journey stuff is for the birds, unless your driving through Monument valley or similar, but I digress . . .

Their number of followers on social media is what earns the big NIL bucks. It is more than being a great athlete. These two are the Kardashians of college sports

Just a thought. But I keep reading that the NIL appears to now be helping St. John's attract kids. However, I've yet to see any specifics behind that. Whereas some of the biggest schools are throwing around hundreds of thousands and even millions to their kids. Does anyone have any insight as far as exactly how this is working as far as getting money to our kids here? Are there specific deals that they've been a part of? I understand there is the Storm Marketing, but I'm unclear on what exactly is happening with that.

Just my very uninformed opinion, but the very large NIL payouts are for college football.
Arch Manning will get over $1 million for example. And he is far from alone. Kids take the one transfer rule now to get a better NIL deal.
The current QB at Texas Quinn Ewers transferred after getting a larger NIL deal than Ohio St.
Crazy for sure.
The basketball side is lagging because the “super conferences” make their money from funding, grants, and donations from a successful football program.
For basketball only schools, this balances things out a bit.

Can't wait for that first graphic of a player being the first to 1000 points 500 steals and 2.5mil in NIL
you joke but I think this is definitely coming - Joe Tipton's site On3 just released some kind of a valuation system for players in the NIL market...so instead of being ranked the #14 player in the country they are now basically ranked by the amount of value financially they have

I may be way off but with potentially more booster $ going directly to a wider pool of athletes, I have to imagine the athletic fundraising depts (like Red White) are/will be seeing a decline in direct donor contributions that help offset program expenses.
