Next Head Coach...3 picks

The younger alums don't realize that in the sixties and seventies few of our games were televised. We didn't even have commercial radio coverage. You had to be there to see the game. Still, if we are playing a conference game on campus, students should want to see it in person. In the old days, we often took road trips to away games. Different times, different priorities.

Yeah Cal was a carryover from Chipman to Evans.  He was an assistant for the last year under Chipman and then the first 2 years under Evans before he got the UMASS job.  It was under Evans where he recruited Martin though.

If Chris Mack got fired at Louisville I’d hire him in a second. Proven Big East success.

Problem is I doubt he’d want this job.

So was Bernie Madoff.

Would you hire a pharmacist who made his boss lots of money by:
1. Short counting prescriptions
2. Dispensing expired drugs
3. Refilling an unlimited amount of times
4. Accepting narcotic scripts from known addicts, then overcharging them?

Seriously.

Beast,

Mr. Madoff did, and the hypothetical pharmacist cited in your above post would have committed crimes.

If you are attempting to draw an analogy to Coach Mack then please identify what criminal activity you allege Coach Mack to have committed.

Thanks

Those pharmacist illicit activities would not rise to the level of criminality. There may be disciplinary action, just like there was in Mack's case.

The point is Madoff's client thought it was all great till his dishonesty became public. Many people I'm sure got out with profits and I doubt any of them volunteered restitution. Someone is always left holding the bag.

There are illegal activities and illicit ones.  Are you engaging in moral relativism?

Sports are supposed to be the last bastions of fair competition.   Pitino even with superlative recruiting and coaching skills adulterated that by eg r.e seriously flouting rules and engaged in criminal behavior.

Mack as far as we know violated recruiting rules.  Lots of coaches do it.  It's why I can't take this stuff seriously.
