I complained about catcher’s interference about a month ago. Mets coaches? I’ve never seen so many in my life.

Amazing but even Roger’s has turned to garbage. Can’t get 3 outs sporting a 1.93 ERA. No matter.
 
And Mendoza again bullpen mismanages them to yet one more blown lead.
Sproat at 70 pitches but let’s make it a bullpen game with an absolute horrible bullpen. Just stupid on stupid.
 
At least the Mets had Mullins strike out for Siri to end the 8th. Leadoff man on 2nd and of course instead of bunting him over Mendoza decided it was better to have Baty strike out, hoping for a passed ball or maybe a wild pitch even.
 
Never saw anything like this, outside of the young pitchers and Soto, the Mets absolutely mailing it in. Lindor, Alonso, and Nimmo all strike out swinging in the 9th, Baty strikes out swinging in the 8th instead of moving the runner over, Alvarez with another crucial catcher’s interference and Mendoza does Mendoza and manages sitting on his hands on offense but led yet another bullpen implosion.
I don’t play that because everyone knows it’s just frustrated BS but I surely understand the “just don’t care anymore” declarations.
 
What the hell is going on with this Mets team??? Did someone bang someone’s wife or something??? Something is going on with this team that we don’t know about!!
 
Ok - the highlights of going to the game today.

Went with two friends from college I don’t get to see enough
Fun seeing the old timers play. Jay Payton stood out.
Took home a Mrs. Met Taxi Cab Bobblehead

The last two months have been like Tom Glavine pitching the final game of the season needing a win to get i to the playoffs, getting hammered, then saying he wouldn't have done anything differently.
 
Giants, Reds lost. Still in playoffs.

More of an indictment on the playoff system than anything else. Hard to feel relieved or happy about it
 
As I try to find some positive of a just get in team. I think about two teams that beat the Mets, the 88 Dodgers and the 2006 Cardinals, and went on to win the World Series. Maybe if they get in they relax and play better baseball. But probably not.
 
Havent listened to a Mets game on radio for awhile but I caught 9th last night, regrettably.

Howie Rose’s voice when Nimmo struck out was so full of defeat and bewilderment. Such a contrast to his calls this time last year.
 
Just have to think this is an historically bad bullpen. 2 outs, man on first, a hit batter, a walk and a base hit and six scoreless innings by McLean wiped out like that.
Mendoza again pushing all the wrong buttons.
