We'd be crazy not to sign Robertson - rubber arm and loves pitching in NY.

No doubt Robertson would be a nice add. Of course, during the off-season he was looking for “around” $10m. Just keep in mind Mets are paying the luxury tax penalty so $10m is like $20m or something like that. Ain’t my money….but. I’ve also read Fillies are sniffing around Robertson.

He declined a $7m option from Texas.

Worst part was I heard it (Seaver trade) on 1010 Wins that morning before school and having to go take Final Exams that day. I still don’t believe they did it.

Nope just my two favorite players in the world traded for stupid Juan Samuel which helped lead down the path of crap. I still remember exactly where I was when I heard it on 1050am. Heart, humor and soul of the team, gone.

Syracuse is a nightmare to pitch in. Not as bad as the old PCL our AAA played in, but still awful.

Tidwell is missing more bats than Sproat so far. Only 27 innings in 6 starts, though.

Butto and Stanek read yesterday's comments in Red Fans and shaped up tonight. Combined for 3 innings, no runs. Stanek's 9th inning of 1K and total of 6 pitched impressive.

Huge to see Alvarez going the other way. When he “over swings” he is an occasional HR hitter. However, when he goes the other way he becomes so much more dangerous and just a better hitter. Now let’s see him continue to do it.

Funny how some relievers don’t bother us. If Maton had the 3 games Stanek just had, I’d hate him. Stanek doesn’t bother or worry me at all.

Butto will be fine too. He’s a very particular pitcher I’ve noticed. He needs a proper warmup and he needs his full rest. Change either of those conditions and he’s very likely to flame out at this stage of his career.

Apparently he’s pitching Game One of the Doubleheader. I’m not really as high on him as some. I know people say it’s Syracuse but a 5 ERA is not screaming promote me! Hope I’m wrong here and he pitches well. He has the stuff but command and consistency haven’t happened yet. Fingers crossed.

Likely just a one game thing unless he kills it.

He really impressed me when he came straight out of college and threw a gem in the playoffs for St. Lucie. Could see him being a very good 4th starter in a few years.
