If Vientos were hitting we would notice it less though.Seeing a guy like Suarez at third really does show how iffy Vientos is.
kid just stole a base as I hit postSo Acuna has defense, elite speed, is batting just a shade under .300
would anyone be against him being the everyday 2B?
Nothing wrong with pushing McNeil a little bit. McNeil tripled after the Acuna hit. That’ll work.So Acuna has defense, elite speed, is batting just a shade under .300

Both are very good/luxury utility guys. Definitely think acuna’s speed makes him very dangerousI like McNeil…I love Acuna. McNeil has to hit to be worth it. Acuna doesn’t.
Lmao I want to see him succeed if he keeps being given opportunities. In an ideal world he would just be a bench player you can bring in to PH against righties late in games. Something about his attitude rubs me the wrong way!I’m not a McNeil guy. Sirvoo has radicalized me![]()
The issue with the team is that they don't have a DH. How the heck is that even possible. I think McNeil should be the DH but that is just because who else? Alvarez? Isn't JD still out there?
Will easily prove to be one of the top ten all-time worst trades in Mets history. And that's saying something...Javy Baez was exactly what the clubhouse needed

Him and Soto are good friends. I don't think its a crazy idea. But I also think we'd have to give up a lot more than just McNeil (who is maybe a negative asset) and Vientos. Probably need to include Sproat and another pitcher, plus Acuna or Jett.Just reading that Rafael Devers a career 3B is refusing to play 1B for Boston. Got me to thinking about a trade. Now I ADMIT this will NEVER happen because of the Salary involved and many other reasons including Devers being somewhat selfish.
However, the Mets could offer Jeff McNeil ( versatility and to offset some Salary) and Mark Vientos for Devers. Vientos (in theory) could play 1B for Boston. A hitter who would probably love the Green Monster. The Red Sox get a potential 1B with some pop and a versatile McNeil piece.
The Mets would be locking in Acuna to start at 2B. In addition, Baty keeps a role until Mauricio proves he is ready to play.
A lineup of Lindor, Soto, Pete and Devers would be deadly.
Hey ain’t my money. Just a little too fantasy baseball but just for fun to spitball on a rainy day.

Irked Devers tells Red Sox he won't switch to 1B
Rafael Devers said the Red Sox approached him about the idea of filling in as Boston's first baseman but said it's not in his best interest to make another position switch.www.espn.com
Acuna and or Sproat are non starters for me. I guess that’s part of the reason my proposal was admittedly “pie in the sky”. Giving them top line prospects plus Major League players and eating contract would be bailing Boston out big time. No thank you.Him and Soto are good friends. I don't think it’s a crazy idea. I am a Vientos fan. The Mets? Not sure they are completely sold yet . I remember them sitting him for….Daniel Voglebach. He needs to do more than just last season to get an extension. Right now he’s hitting .220. Like Devers he is below average at 3B. No hurry for an extension right now given the team control.McNeil is a negative asset with his contract. I actually think Vientos is a more valuable asset than Devers over the next decade. We still have 5 years of team control, and he seems like a really good extension candidate.
