Sorry Sal. There’s a new Beast of the East. RJ was a man among boys! Most impressed with the assists and rebounds.
Not to derail this thread, but this is a Thibs' team!!! Refreshing that STJ will carry that torch while the Knicks figure it out
His presence allowed Scott to sky in for a defensive rebound. We don’t get that with Zuby unfortunately.
His screening is a real weapon. Pay attention to when he starts his roll to the basket. He does it just as the defensive a player approaches the screen which is reminiscent of UConn last year and how the best coaches teach it. The handoffs too…he went straight
from a handoff to an off-ball screen on the other side and he did it reflexively.
He can also drive the ball.
He will likely be relegated to teams with huge frontlines when we play good teams. He’s just clumsy compared to our other centers.

Trye but how many turnovers did he have….. you left that out. Yes he came through at the end but his handle was far too loose and his passing early on was pretty careless.With all that Richmond killed us, check his #s out:

He did have a few sloppy plays definitely but overall he played an understated good game. Was more assertive than the previous games. His style needs getting used to. I think the sloppiness today was atypical but we’ll see.

That’s a very solid crowd for New Mexico. I wasn’t there, but on TV it looked like an excellent atmosphere.

Yeah, I know, I shouted out kudos for Luis all around game but specifically his defense on Dent two pages before the poster you reference, who also made the same astute observation.
